We stumbled across this place looking for lunch while in the area, and it greatly exceeded our expectations. The three of us got a bowl (eggs, bacon, sausage over fried potatoes), a burger, a BLT, and a small side of pancakes. All were excellent. Would definitely return.

We are big breakfast eaters and tried this place for the first time. I think it's the best breakfast in all of Winchester and we have eaten at a lot of the local establishments the food was fresh and homemade. I got the Greek bowl it was delicious the pancakes were delicious and the service was very good. And they have outdoor seating so we could bring are dog!!! 💗

Not sure if it was a bad day, but this place was a disappointment. Went for breakfast since it had wonderful reviews and almost left before we even ordered. Honestly should have. It took a very long time for us to even place our order, 40 minutes or so. Only one meal was okay, the biscuits & gravy. Everything with eggs tasted watery, onions were raw, and in general it was all just very meh.

Went for breakfast this morning. Seated and got drinks quickly. Briefly looked at menu and knew what we wanted. 35 minutes later our order was taken. People came in after us, ordered and got food. We should have gotten up and left. Most customers seem to be regulars and having conversations with workers.
Awesome 👌
get the breakfast potatoes, trust. great service and amazing food
I first came here a year ago and loved it. Everything about Granny’s was awesome. The food, the service, the atmosphere. But for some reason, something changed maybe 3-6 months ago.
The second to last time my dad and I were there, we waited 20 minutes and watched the waitresses serve others and clear tables but never come to our table to take our order. They told us that there was a “line” to place your order. We left. The last time I was there, the same thing seemed to be happening. So, this time I flagged someone who was not our waitress and told her I was confused about what was happening. She kindly took our order and everything was normal.
By the way, the last two times, we had the same waitress. Long blond hair, maybe late 20s or 30s and a little arrogant and snobbish. Can’t tell if it is just her or if there is a bad system. I’m only writing the post to warn others and secretly hoping granny’s gets this sorted, because the food really is awesome.

Where do I start? I will begin by saying that maybe it was an off night...I'll give them that. Bought three Chicken Fried Steak breakfasts and an order of fries and three orders of grits.
Here's how things went:
* Watery, watery fried eggs. Cut into the not fully cooked eggs (the whites were slimy & still clear), water went everywhere...totally soaking the fried potatoes that were part of the breakfast.
* The pancakes were thin and had a weird consistency. Cutting into them with a fork, the pancakes just fell apart.
* Grits...very toothsome in an unpleasant way.
* Chicken fried steak was nothing more than batter covering a thin layer of something brown...guess that was the steak. The batter tasted of MSG as did the gravy.
I'd heard Granny's breakfasts were great...better than Cracker Barrel...NOT TRUE. This was the first meal I had ever eaten from Granny's...it'll be the last. Worst meal I'd had in a very long time.
