The barbeque is fabulous.. I got brisket lived every bite. The wings were crispy and juicy. Perfection! Mike is the best host. Hog-it-up is back and better than ever!! Highly recommend you try it out. Will come again. Also Nice IPA on draft ❤️

The Hog-it-saloon is a local small resturant that has a great texas saloon vibe. The staff is very friendly. And the food was so good two bites in i text my family and told them that I was about to get fat.

Oh my goodness my first time there was sooooooo good!! The service was amazing (with free samples) and the food was so JUICY and melted in my mouth. I got the brisket sandwich, topped with buttered pickled slaw and Carolina mustard 🤤 The hush puppies were delicious and the DIRTY RICE WAS AMAZING. Will DEFINITELY be going back!!

We stopped at Hog-it-up on out way through Virginia to Pennsylvania...AMAZING food...seriously impressed... and Mike was a great host to us...the ambiance of the restaurant just tied everything together perfectly...if you are passing through you should ABSOLUTELY take the short drive off 81 to try....💓

Pitmaster Mike is clearly the kind of fanatical, consummate professional who has taken his craft of down home comfort BBQ and secret recipes from his kitchen at home to a smooth-running full scale restaurant establishment, that does many things well at the same time, a relaxing and stylish dining space, complete with beer taps and a full liquor bar!

I dipped in here on a Saturday evening for a sandwich of moist tender brisket, tangy potato salad, and an OFF THE CHARTS DELICOUS Cajun dirty rice. One frosty mug of Devil’s backbone Vienna Lager was a perfect accompaniment to help me wash away the cares of a busy week.

The food here was so delicious, I ordered some more to take home!

Everything was excellent! We had the sampler and the turkey breast was phenomenal. The hush puppies and tropical Cole slaw were amazing sides. And pecan pie for dessert did not disappoint. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area.

I had their food delivered and it was fantastic. It was the best bbq I have been able to find in VA . I had the Texas pulled pork bbq sandwich and the staff thinks about the quality of their food if its delivered. They keep the meat and bun separate so its not all mushy when it gets delivered. Very good portions of food, great bbq sauce as well. Not sweet, a nice smokey flavor. Unfortunately, I didnt take pictures because it just looked that good, I had to scarf it down. The mac n cheese was a little bland, but thats all I have to complain about.
