I J Canns American Grille

Love coming to this place when my body doesn’t feel like having fast food. Their prices are reasonable and they have a nice selection on the menu. They have a seafood pasta that is amazing and I also love the steak with chimichurri. Staff is friendly and you usually get seated fairly quick. They have a private room which would be great for meetings.

We ordered the steak salad with blue cheese dressing. The salad greens were mush with lots of dressing without blue cheese
The steak was tough and way too much salt. Won't be going back.

We made a reservation and specified we were in from Nebraska and were coming for oysters they said no problem..We specified oysters 3 times. They called to confirm that morning. We arrived at for our 1pm reservation and ordered our 2 dozen oysters to have them come back to the table and say they had no oysters

The food and service was outstanding!

We reserved a private dining room at I J Canns a week in advance for a party of 20 people. We made a late reservation at 8 pm to accommodate work schedules, and the evening held significant importance for us as we were celebrating someone's recovery.

Throughout the week leading up to the event, the restaurant staff called us numerous times to confirm our plans and headcount. When we arrived, they were fully prepared for our group. Despite our loudness, they managed to take everyone's orders accurately and serve everything promptly. As far as I am aware they didn't make any mistakes on anyone's order.

As the night was drawing to a close, around 11-11:30 pm, one of us realized that we should probably start wrapping up to allow the staff to head home. To my surprise, we learned that the restaurant's regular closing time was at 9 pm, a detail we hadn't been aware of when making the reservation. Despite this, the staff remained incredibly professional throughout, never rushing us.

It's worth noting that they never mentioned their closing time when we initially booked the room or while we were there. Their dedication and hospitality left a lasting impression on us.

On a day with perfect weather the outdoor dining area was excellent - friendly staff and reasonable meals, I will recommend this place on the south end of Winchester, VA

First time there because it was recommended by someone I know and I loved it ..I forgot to order chicken strips for my littlest in the midst of ordering for me and my other kids and they was able to put in the order and had them out quick and juicy my baby ate as much as he could and finished the rest for his breakfast.... definitely will be going again
