James Charles remains a good winery for their wines. Their service and food quality has declined over the last 3 years however. This may be partly caused by often being understaffed. The same person has to pour wines, prepare and serve the food, package wine club wines, and administer tastings. It isn't fair to the employee or the customers.

As a dog mom and wine lover, James Charles is the best vineyard! In Winchester it is near plenty of things to do, and their wines are fabulous, staff is helpful and friendly, and most importantly they are dog friendly for pet parents! The food is also great alongside the wines.

James Charles is a gem! Their wines are hard to beat and Rachel is a friendly, knowledgeable and amazing tasting room hostess!! If you visit Winchester, James Charles needs to be part of your day!! Amazing whites and the best reds around!
