It was a last second decision and it was the right one, lol.Boyfriend and I tried some things we'd never had before and weren't disappointed. Took the leftovers home and had them the next day. Will definitely be returning to try more of the menu!

Ate here for the first time. Fantastic food, friendly owner. Very flavorful and perfectly prepared. I had the Carne Asado, it was great. The black beans and rice on the side would have been a delicious meal on their own. The Alcapurrias and Pupusas blew me away! Can’t wait to have them again. The wife had the Chicharrones with the fried Yucca. Again, it was spectacular! This is going to be our go to Latin eatery.

I stumbled upon this little restaurant and am so glad I decided to have lunch there. The food was unbelievable. It was the most fresh wonderful food I've eaten at a restaurant in years. The corn tortillas were made fresh by hand and we're too good to be true. I also had an opportunity to speak with an owner that happened to be there at the time and she was just lovely. I am looking at their menu right now and I can't wait to try everything. Now when my family goes out to eat this is where we're going to go every time. Not only was the food incredibly delicious but all of it was very fresh and I took my order to go and they had my order ready so fast. There's not even an excuse to eat fast food anymore because in a pinch you can get it to go and very quickly. This business is just starting out and is Remodeling and this is going to be a hit. I can't wait to tell everyone I know about it.

I went here for the first time today at lunch because I just stumbled upon it while I was running errands and Winchester today. I stopped in for lunch and I'm so glad that I did it. This was the best food that I bought from a restaurant in years. It was incredibly fresh and they make their corn tortillas fresh Everyday by hand. It was so amazing that I just have to share my experience. I was able to speak to one of the owners for a couple minutes while I was there and she's a lovely person also which makes it even better. From now on when my family wants to go out to dinner this is where we're going to go. It's 45 minutes to an hour away from my home and it's worth the trip.

Large variety, happy to see a few of the items offered that aren't available in Winchester. I wish they had a few more hot sauce options, im used to having a couple of sauce options with my Peruvian (lomo)

I was craving something from Puerto Rico and let me tell you something… their alcapurrias and food are amazing. I spent a good time with my picky daughter and she was fascinated with the food that she ate. It was a go back to my country taste. Love it! This restaurant is incredible!! All of my favorite traditional plates with a extra touch of pizzaz! I’ve had a few items from the menu and none of them have disappointed. My family and I love the food and will always come back for more. Service was wonderful, they’re attentive and respectful. Food is spectacular.
Drove from NoVa to this little place based on Google reviews and boy are we glad we did. We were greeted warmly, the waitress explained the dishes expertly snd when the food came out? WOW. The presentation was amazing to match the meal. My daughter got the mofongo with poor, her boyfriend for the shrimp tacos, I got the ropa vieja with salad and tostones, my son got the lomo saltado. We loved how they had a mix of foods from El Salvador, Cuba, Puerto Rico. Everything was obviously made to order, served fresh and hot. We loved La Tembuleña and look forward to returning!

The authentic latin food experience is few and far between in Winchester VA, so I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff is beyond friendly, and I never leave there hungry, or without a smile! It is worth the drive, wherever you are from.

Nice dining spot in quaint Winchester. We discovered it while searching for somewhere in the area to have dinner. The dining area was very spacious and clean. It was well appointed, with a The Latin decor was subtle but tasteful. The food and service were great. The waitress was very friendly and personable. She was knowledgeable about the menu and answered our many questions. We settled on the Mofongo and an order of the traditional Pupusas (meatless variety). Both dishes were very delicious and authentically Latin. The delicious Hibiscus drink complemented our meals well. we appreciated the custom salads they prepared for us. The entire meal was very affordable. It was definitely worth it. We would highly recommend La Tembulena for great service and delicious Latin food when you're in Winchester.
