Excellent hidden gem in Frederick County. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. We tried the Chimmichangas for the first time and WOW they are amazing! You won't leave here hungry and if you do, it's your own fault! Highly recommend this eatery to all Mexican food lovers.

i was very disappointed with our service this evening. we have went before and the young lady that was our waitress was very nice. tonight was awful, first it took them about a half an hour to get our drink order, after ordering our food 2 plates was brought out with wrong meat ok cool but the eye Rolling after nicely telling her was rude. my daughter said thank you to her on 2 o occasions and she said nothing back. then after 10 mins of having our food we had to ask someone else for our forks and knives. ok. we asked for an extra order of tortillas they camr after we were done eating. never came back to ask for a refill, we asked someone else for the check anf got the to go . boxes ourself. very bad experience tonight.
First off, we're from the southwest so we do know what these foods are supposed to taste like. On the plus side, for those with disabilities, the restaurant is easy to get into, wide aisles, restrooms are one at a time so there's plenty of room for a wheelchair. Food: I had the enchiladas verdes. They were stuffed with beef (but little seasoning). The best thing on the plate was the guacamole. I didn't eat it all. Didn't eat the rice at all. My husband had a combo plate with a chile relleno and beef taco. Way too much batter on a bland chile. He liked the taco. We probably won't be returning. Food overall just too bland. Service was very good.

I wanted to sample all the Mexican restaurants in Winchester to find the best one. Las Trancas was the second. Didn't see much point in trying any others because it was so good. Booths or tables. Well stocked bar. Cold beer. Varied menu without being overwhelming. They have nachos!. Chicken, beef, seafood and vegetarian options. Really good burritos. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking. Worth going back again and again
