Called in an order for a Pastrami Reuben and some buffalo wings and went there to pick it up. Was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Got there in 15 and the order was sitting on the table. Upon checking the bag, I found out that part of the order was not ready yet. I checked the bag and said well I am missing the side of sweet potato fries- when the gentleman checked the bag he opened up the box that had my pastrami sandwich in it With his bare hands, moved my sandwich to the side and pointed out for sweet potato fries which totaled 4 although I paid additional to upgrade this side order. When asked about the quantity he said “what you see is what you get .” Needless to say I got in my car and got home and when the wings were opened up and my guest, had one of them they were ice cold as if they did not spend any time in the microwave or the oven. This was only my second time there - I went there the day prior to try the Ruben pastrami which was to my liking. However, the follow up visit was terrible. They say you do not get a second chance to make a first impression -in this case they won’t get a third chance for sure .

Horrible service. Me and my family waited at the door for almost 10 minutes until seated. Finally after we were seated we waited another 10 minutes and no one ever acknowledged us so we just got up and left. Wasted 20 minutes in the restaurant for nothing the place had maybe 3 people at bar and a table of four. I’ll never go back again for sure.

I hate to leave a negative review for a restaurant in such a historic building with some much rich history to offer but, this is our third time here with terrible service and food, so here I am . It wasn’t crowded; it was Saturday afternoon around 4pm. Upon arrival, and once seated, we waited for 15 minutes before the server acknowledged us and came to our table to take a drink order. Then, once we ordered from the menu, the food came and again…we were grossly disappointed. The Cole slaw is the nastiest tasting Cole slaw this side of the Blue Ridge. I’m pretty sure it’s just shredded cabbage and rancid mayonnaise. And the macaroni salad had a tint of beige…almost appeared “aged” and it was both flavorless and rancid tasting; we did not eat the sides, they were absolutely disgusting. The Mona Lisa sub was also disgusting, with burnt pepperoni and tomato’s so tough that I had to have them on the side and eaten with a fork and knife; sodas were flat and we were only offered one. I know everyone will have their own experience, but this was ours and it’s the third and final time we’ll dine there. Every time the service and food have been disgustingly subpar, and like I said , that’s a shame in such a great historic building in Winchester. I give it a -25/100; do not recommend.

I like the food here. The problem is that they keep changing the menu items without updating the menu properly. A recurring problem is getting guacamole instead of avocados on my wraps and sandwiches. It's a small issue, but it's recurring. If I order extra avocado, I don't want a cup on the side of mashed green, when the menu photo shows sliced avocado and I used to get the sliced avocado. It also takes an inconvenient amount of time to be seen by a host or hostess during the day time. I can walk in and the entire upstairs is deserted for 5-10 minutes before someone walks upstairs. Shouldn't there be at least one staff member in the customer facing areas at a time? Do you want to be robbed? This could really be a star restaurant, but they need to get their act together.

I was apprehensive because I had had negative experiences with Macado's in Lynchburg, Christoansvurg and Farmville. But the Winchester location was a wonderful surprise..The staff was really welcoming, and the burger was amazing. I ate by myself, they were short staff but attentive to my needs and made sure I was happy. After introducing themself, the manager spent a few minutes talking with me. I'm impressed. Since they did such a great job, I'm truly puzzled by the current low ratings.

I was very happy to find my favorite Sandwich Sports bar in my new home area and couldn't wait to go there!
The food was still spectacular even though the Friday evening ambience wasn't exactly anything to write home about. The Bartender who BTW was very warm and attentive when he finally was able to attend to our table definitely needs some help to handle both the bar and serving regular diner's needs!

**For MGMT: I know you're trying to save money, but please, an extra hand for the drinkers and diners won't hurt for a Friday night! ....I also know that most downtown Frederick facilities are pretty old, but a simple frequency of cleaning the floors to not be so sticky would be appreciated by your customers! I won't even go into the bathroom conditions!
Thanks! (Oz / Lake Frederick, VA)

Parking: The Hand cut Crispy Potato Chips is a MUST have, along with the Mango Habanero sauces Bone-in Wings!

The food, in the past, we’ve had was really good. However, the service is horrible. The last 3 times, the wait was crazy and the place was basically empty. We ordered simple chicken sandwiches and it took 90 min for the food. They forgot the appetizer all together. So today, we tried for lunch. We walked in and were never once acknowledged. We waited over 10 min. Again, maybe 5 tables busy. No one came to seat us or even acknowledged we were there. We walked out and went elsewhere. Honestly, it’s a shame because they could have so much potential.

We just got food poisoning from here. Me and my 2 kids. It's been reported to the health department but I figured I'd share here as well.

New to the area, thought this looked like a neat place. Very very disappointed. It was a Friday night around 645 and a flag should have been the place was dead. We stood for much too long waiting to be seated. Bathroom looked like a dive bar. Waited forever for sandwiches, no reason shpuld be a 40 wait to get a couple sandwiches. Appeared to be maybe 2 or 3 people total working and I think one was possibly the cook also serving. Took forever to get boxed and the check also. The place has potential but the service is absolutely terrible. It will not be on our list of Winchester places for the future.

This used to be our fav lunch/sandwich spot. Now, not so much. The service has nose-dived. I think the greeter/seater may be the cook/server all-in-one. This has been a months-long issue. You must be extremely patient here. If you are really hungry perhaps try somewhere else; Village Square and Union Jack are both nearby, and service is great.
