We've been a few times, and food is always good. Service can sometimes be perfunctory...I get the feeling that the place really caters to locals. The kitchen does seem to be a bit single-threaded, but the food has always been good when it comes out. We particularly like sitting at the counter and watching the food being made.

Papermill has been a staple for weekend breakfast for our family for over a decade. Their food is always delicious, service is great even when they're full with a line out the door. Their pancakes are not to be missed, as well as their chipped beef gravy over biscuits. ?

The food is ok, however there needs to be some attention to toasted items like english muffins and toast. These items should not be hard and have butter in clumps. The scrambled eggs should be fluffy and not chopped and over cooked. The service is good. The kitchen is slow. The ambiance is not welcoming. The staff was told to not talk to the customers, other than to take an order (especially the regulars). I find this offensive. As a regular, i spend around $8k a year in the restaurant. I have heard the managers admonishing the wait staff on the serving floor several times. I also heard a manager talking about asking a customer to leave because they were sitting too long. As a customer we like to eat at places that we feel welcome. Work and dinning should not be a dreadful experience.

My husband and I have been going to breakfast for a lot of years at this restaurant. We’re treated like family. I also own two businesses, and I know the most important thing is if you have a problem, they take care of it. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you Darin, all of his great managers. And never forget the staff I know he couldn’t do it without you all! ?

Chairs are small, and tables are typically sticky and dirty. We have to clean it ourselves when we go. However, this is the best homemade breakfast food in the area that we've found. In fact we've been many times and I haven't had a bad meal there at all. The ladies working the tables are nice enough too. The chairs are reminded of a old fashioned diner both chairs. It's not really comfortable, but it's good enough for a quick meal.
