I was part of the same party as Andy V. I’m not writing this for a refund—I ate my meal—but because I want to see places like yours thrive. The service was warm and attentive, and the space is genuinely adorable. It’s clear you’ve built something with heart and progressive values, which I really respect.
That said, the food just didn’t land. I ordered the burrito and found the flavor combinations awkward, like it was trying too hard to reinvent something that didn’t need fixing. I was hungry after a hike, so I ate it, but it wasn’t enjoyable. I tried a bite of Andy’s quesadilla, and unfortunately, I agree… it wasn’t good.
I think the concept leans too heavily into fusion and novelty, at the cost of flavor and balance. There’s absolutely a place for creativity in the kitchen, but I’d love to see a stronger foundation in traditional Mexicano flavors and technique. For reference, I think places like Taco Bamba strike a better balance between innovation and honoring traditional flavors. They push boundaries without losing their roots. Until there’s a guarantee of that, I won’t be dining at your establishment again.
You’ve got everything else going for you. I genuinely hope the food catches up.

Cool decor and nice server but terrible food. Everything on the menu is some kind of yuppie fusion flavor. Took one bite of the quesadilla and gagged. Only plus side was they were kind enough not to charge me for the meal.

We had a burrito from the food truck while visiting a winery and brewery. I had the pulled chicken burrito and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was fresh, flavorful and so delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the burrito was grilled and simply perfect. The corn and rice and chicken were just delicious.

The very vuluptuous vegan burrito is just okay, the white rice has no flavor(don't expect cilantro or lime), the beans didn't taste seasoned at all either, the veggies in it were good but overall it's a very wet and bland experience. The chips they give you are like a larger version of a Lunchables nacho chip so not impressive. The salsa is nice though and they have plenty of hot sauce sitting around to kick it up a notch, their house made sauces are all sweet for some reason which I don't prefer so I pass on those. The drinks are good, but there really is no pull to go there for food. If the chips were made in house then I'd think it was worth it but there are better places to get a drink AND eat. Vibrissa is right around the corner and their tacos are AMAZING! Best vegan tacos within an hour of here. Not trying to bash the place mind you, just being real. I don't like the fact that they say on the menu to make the VEGAN burrito "guilty" by adding cheese either. Big turn off and tone deaf. The server even felt the need to ask, "oh no cheese?" like... no, I want the VEGAN burrito to be vegan thanks.
The vegan bowl was super yummy! And they substituted vegan cheese on the nachos for us to make them vegan.

Understand this: Burritos are not exactly sexy. If you’re on a first date and the other person says “I’ll take the bean burrito,” your mammal brain will tell you “not this one.” Being asked out on a date to go to a burrito bar will probably yield the same result. But today, I discovered how unsexy a burrito can be and I discovered it in my bathroom after eating a delicious crazy Cuban burrito at Sexi Mexi. It was truly a positive experience, but when you’re riding your toilet across the rolling plains of Planet Burrito, it can look like war, famine, and taxes.
When the first quiver in my intestinal lining prickled my skin, I knew it was the cranberry jalepeno sauce. I shrugged and finished my workout, but I was uneasy about the future. The last time I had that feeling, I had eaten too much harissa and woke up halfway through the Wyoming bar exam, so I knew I was in for one wild jamboree. When the first pang of agony doubled me over, I knew it was the jerk seasoning and began writing my final Will. It was like I was a pirate receiving the black spot and, similarly, I dived into the loo and barricaded the door. After laying down newspapers, pitching a canopy to protect the ceiling, and putting on my rain jacket, I sat on my toilety gallows and entered a fugue state that I’m not sure has ended even now. I dreamed of loss. I dreamed of hope. I was even visited by a sleep paralysis habanero who casually reminded me of my most embarrassing moments. I briefly woke up to find my screaming family and an unfamiliar wide-eyed paramedic standing over me with a respirator and IV bag. I have no memory of the rest, as the ensuing earthquake knocked a can of febreeze on my head.
I’ve moved on with my life. The toilet and I are in couples therapy. The febreeze is completely empty, along with the citronella candles. The paramedic married my cousin because of the bond they created that night. They’re making a movie about it starring Gary Busey as my 9-foot wild-haired dookie and Michael Bay’s the director.
As such, the burrito was incredible, their location was very clean, and the staff were friendly. I highly recommend and would give 10/10 if I could.
My wife and I both thought the food was very good. Price was about average.
Loved the veggie burrito bowl!
I don't think there will ever be a day where this is not my favorite restaurant in downtown Winc. The food is always fresh and GOOD. Service is always great, too.
I try go here every time I'm in Winchester! Great food, drinks and service! It's not your usual tex-mex fair. It's way better!
