I usually come to winchester to let my husband spend time at the game stores in the area. I usually have him drop me off at a starbucks so I can have my iced caramel macchiato and a quiet place to read. While I tend to keep to myself and not get involved in public discourse. I felt this time was necessary. As a patron of starbucks for several years, I am concerned for the company and for the barista who I saw get ridiculed in the lobby. I was sitting reading my book when a manager got unprofessional with a barista. I am unsure the context however, she berated the girl in the middle of the lobby. Shouldn't this be done in the back? I thought to myself. Like if you are going to yell at a barista in the manner which she did, don't do it in front of the customers. I'm sure other customers felt just as uncomfortable as I did. This isn't the warm welcoming environment that Starbucks claimed to have. She treated that girl poorly and asked her if she wanted to basically get fired. Like I said, I'm not sure what happened to let it escalate to that, but again, I would think the manager would handle that more professionally. I think I'm going to go to a different starbucks in the area, which is unfortunate as the baristas always make my drink correct here which is not true for all stores. Next time please handle your disagreements in the back of the shop, it's inappropriate. My drink was good though.

I was a customer at this store on Monday, July 14th, 2025. That morning, I witnessed a staff member, which I assume is the manager, ridicule another staff member. The manager threatened the employee with immediate separation out loud in the middle of the lobby. The employee looked shocked and humiliated, I caught myself exchanging glances with other customers at the store as this was happening.

STOP 🛑 DON’T GO THIS LOCATION .
This is absolutely ridiculous. I’ve had it with this Starbucks. This is the third time I’ve ordered a large drink and they gave me something smaller than a small. It’s not a mistake anymore — it feels like they’re doing it on purpose and hoping no one notices. That’s stealing, plain and simple.
The staff didn’t care, didn’t apologize, and made zero effort to correct it. For a company that charges premium prices, this is embarrassing and disrespectful. I’m done giving them my money. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually values customers and serves what you pay for.

The manager was very rude. I was trying to change my newborn and was told I had to make a new purchase to get the code for the bathroom. I attempted to buy a water with strawberry inclusions which they rang up to $6.78 FOR WATER...Just to use the bathroom. I purchased a kind bar, changed the baby and considered getting a refund.

Wow! Alejandro was so nice and made convorsation with me about where I work and how I’m doing. I’ve never been to a Starbucks where someone tried to actually make convorsation with me, it made me feel very welcome and he did all this while taking orders and being efficient aswell. Props to Alejandro!
