We were in Winchester for a meeting and decided to try Taqueria Guadalajara for lunch. We're originally from California now living in Northern VA so I'm very picky with Mexican food. This restaurant did not disappoint. In fact, it's one of the most authentic Mexican food places. Definitely NOT Tex-Mex! I had menudo and hubby had barbacoa sopes and they were excellent (see pictures). I met two families here who were also from Southern California! You've got to try it here!

Pretty good food. It’s a bit expensive. Portions are on the smaller side but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Usually Mexican restaurants give you way too much food.

Super solid place for authentic Mexican food outside of Winchester. Small restaurant with bar seating and a main dining area that is very clean and well decorated. They have daily specials, make the tortilla chips and salsas in house, and have a full bar with a ton of margarita options. The enchiladas were covered in a very lovely mole, but the chicken inside was a little dry. Sides were really tasty and big portions. Husband got the cod special which was also very tasty, but the mix of veggies was kind of odd. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would come back the next time we are in the area!

Wonderful place for the real taste of Mexican food!!
Wow wow wow! Loved this place. It's my new favorite Mexican spot in the area and almost my overall favorite. They had an amazing selection of protein to choose from and they are all great. Beef intestines, goat and beef cheeks stood out, but cod and pork were good as well. The black beans were great. The tres leches dessert was perfect. The crème topping matched the cake We'll definitely be back.

Delicious as always. Called in an order to pick up on my way home. Food was ready at the estimated time and I was in and out very quickly. We typically dine in and love it, and minus the atmosphere the food was just as great as carry out as dine in. We had the Don Gato burrito, two pollo, one carnitas. Our Mexican restaurant hands down.
The sign says “gourmet Mexican.” It’s true. Even side dishes like rice or beans are a cut above the usual. Beautiful, well-prepared dishes and a lovely atmosphere.

Visiting town for work and the hotel suggested me to go here. The tacos were yummy except for one I think is called (Cachete). Small bite for the price but good thing I'm on a diet so it worked out well. The Horchata didn't tasted as a good Mexican Horchata they can do better.
