Great food the portions were good. Pricey and the rice was not spiced. Not a lot of space for larger groups. Overall a good experience.

I usually visit El Ranchero at least once a month and get their enchiladas las paz, seafood enchiladas which are so good. Obviously I rather like this place since I continue to visit.
So I visited a couple of days ago and my experience this time had some issues. I was putting half my meal into the carryout box and found a blonde hair in my rice. I brought it to the attention of the server and she took my plate of rice away. She did agree that it was not my hair. But I never got any extra rice is replacement to take home. And I'm not even sure she brought it to anyone in the kitchen's attention.
Also I had their chocolate mousse cake, only it was completely frozen. I worked through part of it but wound up leaving most of that on the plate because it was not at all what I wanted. I guess I got there too early and their cake had not thawed out yet.
I'll still go back because those Enchilada La Paz are so very good. And this was just one hiccup with a normally good restaurant.
Anyway I think the server could have been a little more concerned about the hair and the frozen cake.

I have been eating here for years, every meal I have tried was delicious. Friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Easy accessibility, plenty of parking and clean restrooms.

Perfectly passable Mexican. I had pork carnitas dinner. Carnitas were dry. Rice and beans were adequate. My adult child had chicken enchiladas with a creamy tomatillo sauce. They enjoyed their meal. Chips and salsa were tasty. Service was exceptional.
