Veterans Subs

I was in charge of the dinner for the Handley varsity softball team’s dinner for an away game a few weeks ago. I went in and placed a huge order of 18 subs and chips to be picked up the next day. John and his staff went above and beyond to get the order ready and marked with each girl’s name in time. The girls and coaches loved their subs. Thank you so much for your service to our country and our community. Your food is amazing!!

I think the food is a tad bit over priced considering the quality. Could not find anything that was made in house. For the price being charged I struggle with the quality which after 4 visits of being unsatisfied I can’t continue to my business here. Additionally, I believe there are better locations nearby. It was overrated in my opinion. I’m sorry. If the recipes change I’m sure I would give them another shot as they are a local business.

Our subs were delicious! The bread was so fresh, as were all of the ingredients. The apple butter mayo is AMAZING!! Highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

Husband went there for a large sub (Tank) and side of potatoes salad. Had great service from the time he walked in the store. The sub was excellent and the bread was exceptional!!! Have to say, by far the best sub roll in town!!! Sub was filling. Potatoe salad was good as well. Will definitely go here again.

Great food!!! The meatball sub was definitely my favorite, I also tried the Recon and it was phenomenal. The potato salad was excellent, but that APPLE BUTTER MAYO was out-of-this-world delicious !! ohhhh and they serve beer!!
Outside area has lots of seating to eat and enjoy the fall air. Overall, this place is a must try when visiting Winchester, VA. Not to mention, the owner is a Veteran serving several tours for our great country. Love it.

Kid-friendliness: Next door has “Once Upon a Time”, a secondhand clothing and such type store.
