Sunday Brunch 2/26, we ordered from the regular menu, skipping the three course option. Scallops on rice and eggs benedict. Both plated nicely, served fresh hot. Completely satisfied with the preparation. One of my favorite brunch orders. Coffee served in a press, one cup, could have had a bit of refill, even regular brew. Service was excellent, happy smiling, energetic. Shared a bananas foster desert, also properly prepared and served. Expectations were lower than our enjoyable experience. Now that we've been there. No worries going back. Park in the garage lot a block behind the location street plaza.
Limited options and limited accommodations with food. No egg whites, extra fee to scramble eggs..
Initial wait before order was taken somewhat long - 10-15 minutes. The food was teriffic and the atmosphere was great.
The food was terrible, we ate there last new years eve and the food was fantastic. Must have gotten a new chef. I had the rockfish special and my wife had the blackened shrimp. Both were terrible. It was our waiter's first day on the job and the service was OK but not great. Can't blame it on him. I don't think i will go back, not a good experience and definitely not worth the money.
We have been here before just for happy hour and have always been happy with the food and service. I decided to book here for our anniversary dinner this year and I couldn't be happier with the decision. We got the filet mignon and the sirloin for our entrees and both were incredible. Desserts were also fantastic, I really don't think you can goo won't with anything on the menu.
We had a reservation for 9 people and they seated us in a cozy but spacious private room which was the perfect setting for an extended family get together. The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious! We loved the unique offerings mixed with some long standing favorites that provided something for everyone. Great drinks and thoughtful desserts topped off a wonderful evening. We will definitely be back!
We had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner at Village Square. The food, steaks, oysters and trout were all tasty and perfectly done. Hana was our server and she was helpful and attentive. I highly recommend Village Square.
We reserved a table for 10 in December to celebrate the holidays with our family. We were delighted to find ourselves seated in a private alcove where we could chat easily throughout the dinner. The food was delicious with generous portions. We especially enjoyed the black angus cottage pie. It was a treat to enjoy leftovers the following day. I wish I'd taken photos of the food to share on this review. This was our first time in Winchester, so also our first time dining at Village Square Restaurant. We look forward to returning in the future and highly recommend this restaurant!
We love the brunch at Village Square restaurant! The food is delicious, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable with a fire burning in the hearth. The staff are friendly and helpful. We return time and again to one of our favorite places in Winchester.
Have enjoyed every visit, and intend to return frequently!

My all-time favorite brunch place in Winchester!
The staff is friendly & attentive… The food never disappoints! The smoked salmon eggs benedict is by far my favorite… Their salads are always good and have me trying new combinations… and best of all, the strawberry shortcake!
If you haven’t been… you definitely should! You won’t regret it.

Service and food was top notch. Busy Saturday night with most tables full. They were staffed well and could handle the volume. Server was nice and friendly. Orders were taken efficiently and food came out nicely presented and hot. Would have been nice to have some larger appetizers appropriate for sharing. Will definitely visit again soon.
I selected the Village Square Restaurant from a Google search to host a luncheon to honor a significant birthday for a family member. Everything worked out perfectly! We had a private room for our group. Our waiter was attentive and personable. There were easy modifications for gluten-free dietary restrictions. All of our food was prepared and delivered as ordered, and everyone enjoyed their meal. All in all, it was exactly what I hoped we would have for a special luncheon. I highly recommend the restaurant, and I would gladly dine here again!
I am so sad to write this. Last year my family and I went to village square for thanksgiving dinner. It was absolutely astounding. I mean 12/10 blew us out of the water level. This year it was more than disappointing. The food was terrible (outside of the harvest salad and oysters.) Some of us got the thanksgiving special while others ordered from the menu. It seemed that ordering from the menu gave better results as the turkey did not appear like it came from one that would be carved. It was gross. Last year the turkey was top tier. The serving sizes were also significantly less and presented sloppily. It took no less than 30 mins to get bread and the food came out much later than expected. Our dessert never came out. We finally asked to have it to go. I do believe our server did her best. She was tremendously kind. I’m not sure why everything ended up this way, but it did. The reservation was made and stated my elderly grandmother would be with us who is in a wheelchair. I’m unsure the reason behind putting us at the table directly by the door, but I’m going to give the benefit of the doubt. It was the shortest distance for her. It was however so cold with people coming in and out that she kept a blanket on the entire time. My grandma is dying of cancer, this will be our last holiday season with her. Not to be dramatic, but this experience being so bad was borderline devastating given the circumstances. We did ask to move, but there wasn’t anything available. Totally understandable, it’s a busy night. Overall this was the worst experience I’ve had here. I would say if you come during a normal day it’s fine, but do not waste your money on the thanksgiving day dinner.
