Service and food was top notch. Busy Saturday night with most tables full. They were staffed well and could handle the volume. Server was nice and friendly. Orders were taken efficiently and food came out nicely presented and hot. Would have been nice to have some larger appetizers appropriate for sharing. Will definitely visit again soon.
I selected the Village Square Restaurant from a Google search to host a luncheon to honor a significant birthday for a family member. Everything worked out perfectly! We had a private room for our group. Our waiter was attentive and personable. There were easy modifications for gluten-free dietary restrictions. All of our food was prepared and delivered as ordered, and everyone enjoyed their meal. All in all, it was exactly what I hoped we would have for a special luncheon. I highly recommend the restaurant, and I would gladly dine here again!
Overall, it was OK. What brought down the rating was that the turkey was very dry with very little gravy
Booked for Thanksgiving meal. Food and service were excellent. Definitely would eat here again when we are in the area.
This was a good spot for lunch. Chicken salad sandwich was good and I liked the side salad. My colleagues were more adventurous and the crab cake sandwich looked delicious. The cocktails were pricey but the bartender makes a nice spiced old fashioned.
Sunday brunch is a must! Delicious variety of food options and the mimosa and Bloody Mary bar is the best! Always great service too!
It was our 31st wedding anniversary and we chose to eat at Village Square. It was our very first time eating here, and we will definitely dine here again. The food was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Our server was super sweet and attentive. Highly recommend!!
Enjoyed some tasty raw oysters, a terrific seasonal salad and delicious shrimp & grits. A decent wine list added to the enjoyment, including an after dinner libation. Staff was great!
We were VERY disappointed in our experience at the Village Square! It started out well, with our group of seven having our own separate room. The two of us who arrived early were seated and a basket with a few slices from a baguette were provided along with a the equivalent of two pats of butter. When the other 5 people in out party arrived, a water container with a crack was provided. By the time the server had returned to take drink orders, the table had a huge puddle of water and were had used all of our napkins in an attempt to clean up the mess. When the server returned with the drinks, we had to ask for another pitcher without a crack and additional napkins. Our dinner orders were taken, but it took more than 90 minutes for our food to be served! No bread was provided for the other end of the table. They were out of several items on the menu, and it appeared they were rationing other items to ensure they didn't run out. For example, there were 3 scallops and two spears of asparagus on one main dish, and the stuffed flounder had very little of the listed stuffing items. All entrees were cold by the time they were served. No mention was made of the birthday we had mentioned in our reservation, and a cash discount which had not been mentioned was on the check. Had we known, we'd have stopped by the bank and picked up cash! The 20% gratuity was calculated on the after tax amount and automatically added. We paid our bill and departed for another venue to ensure all members of our party had enough to eat!
We requested a back room to have a lunch meeting and had great service and great food! Will do this again another time.

Greeted and seated. Our server was easy to work with. He answered our questions. He was warm and funny. Our food was excellent! This is a busy place but teamwork was visible.
A favorite. A great little restaurant. Good food. Friendly service. Outdoor seating in good weather. Cozy indoor seating in cold weather. The best in Winchester.
The ambience was tavern like and loud at times. Not a bad thing but at times it was hard to hear each other. The menu was a varied brunch but our food was cold upon receipt. The Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar was fantastic. The staff from the hostess to the waitress to the bus boys were pleasant and professional. Our waitress was so lovely and met our sarcasm with wit and a great smile. We plan to meet here again.
Great restaurant! I Crab cake was one of the best in the area, my husband enjoyed a fried chicken sandwich. Fries were fresh, hot and crisp. Service was excellent. All reasonably priced. Only problem as we sat on the patio were uncomfortable chairs and an incredible plethora of flies. Will sit inside next time!
Loved the place. Great food and atmosphere. I had the salmon which was good, just a wee bit over cooked for my liking but had great flavor. My husband had the cold seafood platter. It was GREAT! Hanna our waitress was attentive and sweet. We will be back!!
