I've eaten here before but probably will not go back. Today we waited an hour after ordering our food, which never arrived. Tables that were seated well after we had ordered our meals all received their food while we sat with our water and nothing else. Our waitress stopped at our table after a half hour and said, "Haven't you gotten your food yet?" Obviously not, as the table was empty. She assured us she'd check on it, and that was the last we saw of her. I realize there were quite busy, but there really was no excuse for never receiving our food, especially as the two table next to us, both of which were seated well after we sat down, were served their food . We finally threw a few dollars on the table and left. Very disappointing service.

Great gem in the Winchester Downtown. We love the sides option, pick 3 sides from a nice list of options and make your own great meal. We always have wonderful service, in particular Jamie is always friendly, fast and always checking back.
Vegetarian options: Very nice soups and salads, and other veggie sides.

Nice to sit outside if you can but a trip to the bathroom takes you past the kitchen door where we can see people working without hats, gloves, and without some regards to the Virginia Food Code for operating a restaurant kitchen. Wish I had seen the poor sanitation of the kitchen prior to eating.
Excellent everything. It’s a charming restaurant in old downtown Winchester. The cute features of the restaurant like the bookcases of wine and the tin roof details match the superb service the generous staff are patient and super knowledgeable. The food was fantastic. My group is picky in different ways so we got different types of food from fried chicken, to tacos, to a side platter. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend!

Water Street Kitchen offers a diverse menu that caters to various tastes. I particularly enjoyed their Reuben sandwich, which was flavorful and satisfying. The unique side dishes added a nice touch. The restaurant's location in the Winchester historical downtown area is charming and offers plenty to explore.
I found the beer prices to be a bit high, and the atmosphere could have been more exciting.
Parking: If it's busy parking can be a little bit challenging. There are three free lots and a lot of street parking if you look around a bit.

Our server was Aly & she was a breath of fresh air!!! We really enjoyed speaking with her while we ate.
Food was really good! Only one of my waffles was a little too sweet but otherwise the foods were delicious.
Only thing about atmosphere is the booths are tight & move a little too much. Also, it was very warm for an interior dining experience on a hot day.
Otherwise we will be back!!!!!!!!
