I love their tomato soup and grilled cheese. 3.5% credit card fee seems steep.

Our server was very good. The food was delicious. I loved the fried green tomatoes. The soup was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had to ask for plates for the appetizer. The person who bought them to the table in a basket. Our server corrected the problem immediately.Vegetarian options: I chose vegan options. There was a nice selection.

Classic comfort food at a great price. It's located in a really cool old apothecary shop that still has a lot of the original drawers and large counter. Great selection of beers and drinks. Friendly serving staff.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We brought our baby and were told strollers were not allowed in the dining area because of “fire exit safety concerns”. Although that would make sense if we were anywhere near an exit of any kind, we were in the far back corner. Away from all doors and exits. It was hateful. They told us we had to leave. That seems discriminatory and I’ll never come here. You shouldn’t either. I’ve never had a place tell me I can’t have my stroller, with my baby in it.

I love going out for breakfast on the weekend but the options in Winchester are few, so I was quite excited when I heard Water Street Kitchen opened at 10:00 and included breakfast dishes on the menu. I always enjoyed dinners there and their food was very good, so I was confident that breakfast would be equally good. I was with a group of 5. We arrived at 10:00 and were the first customers of the day. We were immediately seated and shortly after the waiter took our orders. Only 4 of us ordered food, and it was 45 minutes later before it was served! Mine was delicious, but one guest received cold eggs and had to request the toast that was to be included (and it was served cold). Another guest ordered decaf coffee that clearly tasted of soap and when she brought it to their attention, was served another cup from the same soapy pot. The table next to us seated a large group and the waiter was loudly barking out the orders as he served them as if he were a drill sergeant. When we finally got our food, ate, and paid our checks, it was 90 minutes later, the restaurant was packed, and there were people waiting for a seat. Apparently they do enough business (and have little competition) so it's okay to compromise on customer service. As for me, when I pay $20 for a cup of coffee and plate of French toast, I expect good customer service. Give it a try... your experience may be more positive than ours.

Ordered decaf. It tasted like soap. A friend at my table also tasted soap. Couldn't get server's attention. Went to cashier. Told her. My sever at the end of the counter rolled his eyes as I spoke. Cashier didn't offer a solution-just stared at me. I suggested I be given a fresh cup. I told her it also tasted like soap. She stared more. I asked for just a regular coffee. I believe the correct response would be "I'm sorry. I'll make a fresh pot and get that right to you."
