We are on vacation and had to bring our dog; they welcomed us and our fur baby! Service is amazing, food was great; ciders are REALLY good! Atmosphere and experience was more like 10 stars! The locals are so lucky to have The Cider House! Thank you Scott! You are amazing !

Have been to The Cider House twice now, once with a friend and once with a group. Cider is fantastic (not overly sweet, which is a plus in my book) and the menu is solid - more restaurant quality than most places that focus primarily on selling alcohol. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice and open (some covered outside seating too) with great music. We’ll definitely continue to frequent TCH!

Vegetarian options: Trying to be vegan. My favorite is the Mediterranean feta bake without the feta! A friend got the miso risotto which I tasted and would get myself. The hummus and pita are also tasty!

Decor is attractive. When I walked in, someone from the kitchen shouted, "You got one, Chris," to the bartender. That was awkward! Ordered the he mac and cheese, which is fine, and the Mediterranean feta bake, which was shockingly inedible. We were actually too embarrassed to say anything. (At any rate, the waiter didn't check on us so we would have had to trek back inside to do so.) Only in hindsight did we wish we had returned it to the kitchen -- that's on us! Yet it is hard to imagine that being called a "dish": warmed canned tomatoes with a few garbanzos, feta chunks, and raw green peppers stirred in. It sounded much better on the menu! Tried one of the ciders and it was tasty -- perhaps this will be more of an establishment for drinkers. There was nothing non-alcoholic available at the bar, but there is a limited selection of canned sodas if you're not there for the cider. We truly wish this place the best -- any addition to downtown's dining scene is welcome! Hopefully our experience was atypical and part of the opening pains.

I went for a pride event and was pleased to meet the owner of this wonderful establishment. The decor is very nice and the food was surprisingly delicious. I had never been there before so happy to see a variety of foods and a congenial atmosphere.

Vegetarian options: I particularly liked the grilled vegetable options.

Dietary restrictions: they had vegetarian options and some gluten-free options as I recall

Wheelchair accessibility: this has a sidewalk entrance, which makes it easy to roll in a wheelchair. There were people in wheelchairs when I was there, so it was quite accessible.

The Cider House is a wonderful drinking and dining experience. They offer a nice selection of ciders and menu items; the food is not only delicious but perfectly portioned and left us feeling satisfied with room for a delicious dessert and after dinner espresso martini. 10/10 Service and experience. Lots of different seating options including lounge and outdoor patio. They also have a club you can join and can also sign up to get points per purchases with your phone number. Love that they are carrying Korean Soju and was also impressed by they were carrying a Right Proper Beer from DC I love that brewery. Their French guest cider was really good. They do have a full food menu from appetizers, entrees, AND desserts also! Highly recommend eating here, the food is well plated and is delicious!

I used to love their location out on 522 and now I love the downtown location even more! It is such a cool spot and the servers were fantastic! They even added a really cool selection of food to their menu and if course the ciders are always amazing! I was there with a small group of my friends for their opening weekend and we all couldn't stop talking about how cool the atmosphere was and how great the experience was overall. The owner even came by at one point to talk a little about his ciders and the renovation they did to the building. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

I’ve never been a cider guy, it has simply never done the trick for me. How ignorant I was… I realize now I’ve never had good cider. Honestly stop reading this and go get one (or two or three). You won’t regret ANY of their ciders but I recommend the 522 with black currants!

What an amazing restaurant run by such great people !!!! Awsome experience!!!! 10/10 highly recommended!!! And shoutout to the amazing servers!!!! Mackenzie totally made my experience worth visiting! And I would 1000% recommend to the community ! Great job guys and OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!!

Our family went here for the first time today. Mackenzie our server was the best. She was friendly, honest and fun to talk to. The food was delicious we all ordered something different. I had bangers for the first time. If you haven't had them try them. We talked to the owner for 15 minutes after dinner and could have talked to him for an hour. We will definitely be back.
