My absolute favorite place to support. This little gem has become like family to me. The food is made to order, the pastries are to die for and you will never leave without a conversation and smile from the owners and staff ❤ very thankful to have the Rusted Root be a part of daily life in our town!!! My mom and I stopped by on a whim while out and about. She had the cold plate and I had the chicken salad on a croissant with a side of potato salad. Portions were plentiful and everything was delicious. They have numerous gluten free options to choose from. Lots of sweets and ready made options to grab and go. Highly recommend!
Looked for a real coffee on 460 between Suffolk and Petersburg. Plenty of truck stops and gas stations but prefer to support local shops where you get more personal attention. Google brought up the Rusted Root which we had driven by several times without knowing it was there as it sits in a shopping center not visible from 460 as you drive by.
