Absolutely a gem! Wintergreen is lucky to have them. You can get some coffee, drinks, great pastries and PIZZA. Everyone sees the pizza oven, but did you know the owner built it?!? The ingredients are fresh, the crust is delicious, and the flavor combinations are out of this world. Be careful with the cookies because they are deliciously addicting. I love supporting this family owned joint at Wintergreen any chance I get.
Update: it’s been 2 years since we first discovered Fire and Frost, and it is still our go-to place on the mountain, especially for breakfast/coffee. I refuse to make coffee at the house when we’re here because the coffee at Fire and Frost is insanely good. We always get one of everything they’re offering for breakfast and have never been disappointed.
