I had been wanting to try this restaurant out for over a year and finally I decided it was time to stop waiting! I should have gone when I first wanted to because it was so good! The food was delicious, quick and filling! You can tell that everything is prepared in house and that they know exactly what they’re doing! I had the mixed fajitas, my husband had steak fajitas and my daughter had a quesadilla. We all shared the plantains as well. Everything was piping hot and everyone loved their food. I would say my only complaint would be the fajitas needed a little more guacamole/sour cream/pico on the side (because what they gave was also so delicious I wanted more!)!

I come here with friends as part of a tradition. We go for cigars next door, and finish here at Almitas. If there’s one thing that I could recommend: Almitas’ Margaritas #almitasritas. The food isn’t the best, but after all, we don’t come here for the food. One Rita will get you feeling good. If your thirsty, and have the opportunity, stop by and grab yourself a drink. If you DO opt for food, get the chicken quesadillas.

I stopped by this location, because it was halfway between my destination. Not only was the food really good, but the service was wonderful. The gentleman who helped us out with charismatic, expedient, and above all…honest. It turns out, I had left my purse in the empty chair, he came out to the parking lot to give it to me. I will definitely add this to my rotation of stopping points. The Yuca and Chicharron were delicious as was the tamarindo drink.

A nice privately owned Mexican-Honduras restaurant. Small menu, but the food is authentic, tastes great and is easy on the wallet. It seems the restaurant caters to a mostly Hispanic crowd as the wait and bar staff are limited in their English, although they are very friendly. I hope they can keep this place going. I was surprised at how empty it was for Cinco de Mayo.

Nothing special here. Food was ok. Portion size was small for the cost. Likely one and do e here for me.

I had the enchiladas Catrachas con carne and Molly had the chuleta with fried green bananas. Both of these were on the Hondorian menu, even though they went there for the Mexican food this was absolutely fantastic. Both were served with pickled red onions and other veg and mine had sliced hard boiled egg. Literally this was so fantastic I can’t say enough good things about the food. Also, the owner seemed to be there and was very nice. Everybody who works there was so friendly.

I went to this place on a recommendation, and I was very pleasantly surprised. This small restaurant has what I would say has the best authentic Mexican food in the county. I was also happy that the portions were reasonable, so I left not feeling stuffed, which I was happy about. The guacamole was delicious and did not fill me up, so I was able to enjoy my main course. The price was also better than reasonable. So I would say that if you want an excellent Tex Mex dinner at a reasonable price, definitely visit the Almitas. You won't be sorry.
