Sheri was great! I ordered a flight and she recommended the best beers in house. It was my first time here and I’ll definitely be back
We were two couple at first, then six people after. We sat for about 30 minutes and no one came to the table. I approached the bar and was told that they only had 2 waiters. They did had two youngs kids hostesses that kept playing around with each other. We ordered Virginia IPA. Later, they brought us 6 Yellow Bird Blonde instead of the IPA. When I complained to the manager, and older lady, she insisted that we should have tasted the beer before we ordered and walked away as I was attempting to explain that we never tasted any other beer than the one we originally IPA, which is the one we had been buying all night. Horrible experience. Disrespectful manager. Do not go there. Do not deal with the manager, as she is as useless as the venue.
Had lunch here today with our Sunday lunch church group. Not likely that we will be back. The quality and value of the food was not good. Here is some of what the group ordered: smash burger; tiny burger with more bun than meat, no toppings other than two pickles which her also thicker than the burger (see picture). Reuben; the meat was tough and chewy; fish and chips; straight from the freezer, watery tartar sauce. Tater tots/fries; greasy. Go for the beer I guess, but don’t go for the food.
Queen of Sours.... Cherry lime is delicious!
Tried out Brew Republic Bierworks over the weekend during Octoberfest and will definitely be going back. They have a great beer selection and our server, Sherri was awesome and helped us choose from all the options. Ya gotta try the Sweet potato fries!
First off we had Brianna as our waitress and she was amazing! She had great recommendations for both the beers and food. Three of us ordered the Shrimp and OMG! They were phenomenal. Mr Nando in the kitchen knows what he is doing, props to the him as their Chef. Great place, great atmosphere, great food and great beer. Will absolutely return! Highly recommend
This past weekend we stopped in for October fest, (first time here) despite how busy it was and how hard the staff was at work, the service was still excellent. The selection of beer was awesome, there is something for everyone & the food arrived on time and came out fresh. The fried pickles are top notch!
In an attempt to explore new and different dining experiences in the area, we chose a brewery in Woodbridge called Brew Republic Bierwerks for dinner on a Saturday night. It was on the eve of October so Oktoberfest had already begun, complete with beer and dinner specials. Our dining companions had already arrived, so we were shown to the table where they were already enjoying their first beer. Our server eventually came and took our drink orders. Before getting in to the drinks we ordered, which were wonderful, I should say that once our server took our drink order, she seemed to vanish. We didn't see them for a while, then eventually we saw her behind the bar. We were eventually able to flag down another server, who was wonderfully friendly and helpful, and we had her for the rest of our meal.
Anyway as for drinks, my wife ordered a flight of beers. At Brew Republic, a flight is 6 small pours in 6 adorable little glasses. All six she said were full bodied and distinct and a wide spectrum of tastes. They were Gambrinus "King of Beers" Barleywine (barrel aged 26 months), Eisbock (barrel aged 11 months), Virginia Crush cider, Honey Kolsch, Flip Flop POG, and NITRO Mare. My wife is big on flights, and usually there will be one that she's not entirely keen on. Not this time. I ordered a 16 oz. Virginia Crush cider. Very good. Made from green apples with a hint of vanilla. Excellent.
After a wait much longer than it should have been, we were able to flag down the substitute server who took our food order. We did order an appetizer and our entrees at the same time. For an appetizer we ordered the pretzel with beer cheese. My wife ordered the Oktoberfest Wurst special, which came with German potato salad and sauerkraut. She added a side of pickled cabbage. I ordered the Beyond burger, which was to come topped with beer-infused sauteed onions. I ordered it with the addition of a fried egg on top, which I specified to be "over hard". Sure enough, the appetizer came out after we were served our entrees. Even though, we ate the pretzel. The beer cheese was outstanding. My wife's review of her dinner was that the Wurst, sauerkraut and the cabbage were fine, but the German potato salad was just potato, with virtually no taste or flavoring. The Beyond burger I received was very good indeed, but had two problems. First it had no onions of any description on it, and second the "over-hard" fried egg was barely sunnyside up. I order it over-hard because with anything less, the runny yolk would make the burger a bit of a mess.
So we ate our dinner and enjoyed what we ate. After we all finished, our dinner companions ordered another Wurst Special dinner to take home. They were told that they were out of that, and that the ones our table had ordered had been among the last. The issue I have with that is if you have a featured special dinner, especially for something like Oktoberfest, you should probably make sure that you don't run out of it before 8:00 pm on a Saturday night.
Overall, the drinks we had and the food we ate at Brew Republic Bierwerks were very good. The problems seemed to be more management issues, brought about by the fact that the restaurant was very busy. They don't seem to handle "busy" very well. All of the issues, from the disappearing server to the mistakes on the burger order were no doubt caused by being short-staffed in the dining room, and by rushing orders out in the kitchen. Brew Republic Bierwerks is a restaurant that you should consider giving a try, but maybe not on a Friday or Saturday night.
Without a doubt the absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. Took us a half hour to even have someone give us menus. We would order drinks and they never came out (but they still tried to charge me for them! Every single food item we ordered came out incorrectly, missing toppings/condiments, incorrect sides, missing sauces, etc. Multiple tables were dirty and covered in dishes when we got there, and they were never cleaned for the 2 hours I was there. Staff seemed friendly, but all in all did not provide remotely decent service.
Great service at the bar. Enjoyed a Hefeweizen and a Barleywine. Not rushed which was great since we were watching team USA win gold in basketball.

Pretzels were good, but the service was incredibly slow for a weekday. There were 3 other tables when we got there, but our wings were cold and we waited 45min for things to come out. Our drinks were sitting a while too before they got to the table. If there was a runner, it would have been golden.
Actually good bar food, the double smash with jalapeños and fries is insanely good, surprisingly jalapeños poppers were great aswell with choice of cheese. Get the cheese fries and you'll believe again. Gordon Ramsey couldn't handle this cheesy haven
Brianna was amazing!!! Got us hooked up with beers, water, and food. She even got our dog Toa a bowl of water, and when we asked for a chicken breast for her, had the kitchen special order, no seasoning, and already shredded. Even stopped by her every time to say hi!! Needless to say, Toa was a happy camper. Food was pretty good, both of us had the Efah Hefe (hefeweisen). I had a hard time finishing it bc I was getting full. Well worth the stop, and thank you all so much! Felt like a valued customer.
Nice spot to grab a quick beer. Plenty of seating and an ok selection of beers. The food I’ve tried hasn’t been all that great but everything else is cool.
MOST DISAPPOINTING MEAL OUT IN YEARS - AVOID.
Beer: some ok, some misses; generally overpriced. Food: AWFUL: everything overcooked, portions small, bore ZERO resemblance to ANY of the photographs.
We ended up here because I-95 was jammed and the other brewery option at the same exit wasn't a full restaurant. Regrettably, we didn't audible to Bar Louie a couple doors down. (Being a chain, it at least has and meets standards for what leaves the kitchen.)
Caesar salad: overdressed; dressing had more mayonnaise than citrus character; and half the size of what you might expect for $11 (Literally looked like a modest handful of romaine with a handful of croutons thrown on top.)
Wings: small (like I get meatier ones in a frozen 10lb bag at my local grocery store), incinerated, lightly sauced; nowhere near worth $15 (& I have no idea if we were surcharged for ranch and blue cheese since I was never presented with an itemized recept.)
Burger: had my son not ordered double meat, the amount of bun for the amount of beef would have been obscene.
Ruben: meat likely reheated on a flat top, as it was oily and overcooked to the point of being seared and tough; so little meat, it came nowhere close to the edge of the bread.
I live in the bubs of a major metro area. We frequent microbreweries a fair amount. This is the first one I have ever been to where 4oz pours ran, on average, $5 and most pints were $10. Across our 6-pour flight, it was not a lineup where most things knocked your socks off like Treehouse, or Jailbreak (on the other side of DC) or even to the level of an Iron Hill. I can live with a higher ABV bourbon barrell aged bock at $10 for a less than pint pour. (It was the one standout among our flight.) But $9 & $10 for pints of IPAs that aren't Imperials, Doubles or Triples is just well above market price.
Even the root beer was off the mark. "Tastes like chemicals" was my son's initial description. Wasn't wrong. First taste I got was sulphur. Dishwatery aftertaste. For $5, refills for kids might be appropriate and wouldn't break the bank. My son said he wouldn't have gotten one had it been offered.
The server did not circle back to the table after delivering the food to ask how things were, which was probably just as well. I was prepared to shoot the messenger.
Anyone from ownership is welcome to contact me about my experience.
