Overall I loved the cake. I did make a few changes to the cake like make it round and smaller and leave some details out. I think overall they did pretty good with the color! This is a 3 Leches cake and it tasted amazing. All of my guest enjoyed the cake and asked where I bought it! The strawberries are a bit odd shaped but they make a great attempt to make them. The side of the cake was a bit harder to design considering the type of cake it was and the size. They did really well replicating my reference! The service was pretty fast including the pick up.

I'm sorry but this Bakery is super Expensive! I went with the intention of ordering a Cake for 30 people the Occasion is a BabyShower and the options were $385 and $475 without taxes?? And the worst thing is that they were going to use a $9 decoration from Amazon! No thanks, with that price they have motivated me to create the cake myself.

I went in on a Thursday to place an order for a cake for Saturday. They said they could do it but the heart shape spiked the price up to $120 so i was expecting to get the cake I wanted. They set the pickup time to be 5:30pm on Saturday. I get there on time and I ended up having to wait 30 minutes for them to finish it up. The cake did not look as high quality as I expected. The pink was not vibrant enough. It did not come with any sprinkles. We ended up buying some pearls from the grocery store to put on the cake and make it look better. I just feel like I was overcharged for what I got.

Castro's Bakery is located in the Potomac Festival shopping mall, and they have another location in Falls Church. This Latin bakery offers various specialty cakes, cupcakes, and pastries.We were looking through their window to see if we could items in their bakery case, and one friendly staff member, who was cleaning up shop, encouraged us to come in to take our time to see if there is anything we would like to get. Not the best experience they took copy of my ID for a cake pick up without permission . They are not friendly about credit and they will up charge for it a cash based establishment.

We ordered a cake, a very simple cake, no decorations, just a round one cake with red frosting. Too expensive for a simple cake ($100.00) the taste was terrible, the bitterness of frosting ruined the inside flavor of the cake. No one ate it. And a day after you still with your hands stained with the color of the frosting. Too much coloring in the frosting.
