Our first time trying the Sunday Brunch, food did not disappoint as always, delicious, my only recommendation is add Fish and dessert on the menu for the brunch, that is all I was missing, the price was very reasonable as well.our service was excellent.

Pretty dang good food!
Not the best I've ever had, but still very good BBQ.
The ribs are very tender! Fall off the bone tender!
The mac & cheese is a bit bland, could use more salt as gets mushy quickly.
The pulled pork is very nice! Shreds when pressed with a fork and that's good.
Very kind staff!

I lived in Woodbridge from 2000 to 2002, and back then, Dixie Bones was my go-to spot for all things BBQ. Over the years, I’ve returned whenever I was in the Woodbridge/Belvoir area, and it consistently delivered—until my visit on September 20, 2025. I ordered online for a 2:30 PM pickup. The cashier was friendly and efficient, but I immediately noticed the place was nearly empty on a Saturday afternoon—a stark contrast to the bustling weekends I remember. At home, my half-rack rib plate, collards, baked beans, chili, and sausage BBQ were disappointing. The ribs lacked the traditional smoke flavor and tenderness, and the sausages were mushy with almost no smoke taste. The chili was fine, but overall, the food tasted almost reheated. Service remains friendly, but the BBQ itself just didn’t hit the mark this time. I’ll give them another try—everyone can have an off day—but something has clearly changed at my old favorite. —Dr. Ken King

Outstanding ribs & sides. Service can't be beat.

What is going on with their customer service? Second time we’ve ordered for delivery with company eagerly waiting, and main item from order is missing. When I called about item, and asked to have it delivered, I was told “I don’t have a driver, you have to come and get it, or wait until you come in the next time.” Your staff made a mistake and you’re making it our problem? First time, shame on you, second time shame on me.

Stopped by on our way from Arlington cemetery. Thought we would try this place. Shannon was our waiter and very attentive. Food came out fast and it was great

One of our favorite places. Great for casual dining.

I like to Thank Dixie Bones Staff. It was pleasant to see the Staff working together as a unit. To Shanon for extensive knowledge of the menu, which made it EASY! My choice was the Pull Pork BBQ with slaw and a side of beans. Of the four sauces, Red bottle made its way atop a mound of meat. The combo flavor had my taste buds wanting more. No room for dessert, but next visit, challenge accepted! I would recommend to friends and family! (I didn't have it, the IDAHO potatoes are MASSIVE! )

Dixie Bones!! We can’t THANK YOU enough! ❤️ Harbor View Condominiums celebrated their 20 year Anniversary today, and everyone enjoyed your amazing food! Thank you for being our neighbors, and being a part of our community. We wish you many more years of serving your wonderful BBQ, sides, and desserts. ❤️

We ordered 8 different things and every one was incredible. The staff was very nice and personable. I left a big ass tip. Atmosphere was just OK, but you expect great BBQ food in dump buildings.

I just want moist brisket. How don't they have it. I should have the preference of lean vs moist and the people should know what I'm referring. Save your money and go to 2Fifty in DC

Was a little pricey for a stuffed potato.

Dixie Bones Restaurant has been supporting Arms Outstretched Ministry’s Honoring Our Heroes program since 2010 with donation of BBQ food to feed our wounded warriors, veterans and first responders. I highly recommend Dixie bones over any other BBQ restaurant for many reasons, the quality of the food, hospitality of the employees and the kindness and heartfelt support of the owner, Nelson Head, a veteran himself, who supports our troops in any way he can. Visit Dixie Bones Restaurant for your next lunch or dinner!

Great chow! Dixie Bones never disappoints. I had the two meat combo (pork and beef) - splendid. Best part, I had leftovers. Bring your appetite. I didn't have room for desert. Next time.

We have been eating here since this place opened in the 80's. While we no longer live in the area, when we are passing through, we make a point of stopping. Still as good as when it first opened. It would give Texas places competition.
