Waited 90 minutes for food that was mid at best. I specifically asked for well-done chicken since I was told I had to wait for a fresh batch—but it still wasn’t cooked all the way through. I ended up taking it home and finishing it in my oven. Ordered plantains too, but after 90 minutes I was told it’d be another 15 minutes. At that point, it was giving disorganized and unbothered. I should’ve trusted my gut and canceled the order. I spent $57 and the best part of the meal was the mango juice. I do not recommend this location.

Seriously so disappointed. Placed my order at the counter for to-go. One chicken burrito platter and a small order of yuca and plaintains. I waited over 30 minutes. Went to eat my food and it was all cold. The cheese was still shredded inside the burrito as it never melted. The rice was cold and stuck together in clumps. Not exaggerating it was refrigerator cold. Why did I even have to wait that long if it wasn't cooked fresh? Thankfully the yuca was hot and the plaintains were fresh. But $26 dollars and 30 minutes standing waiting after work for a cold soggy burrito. The cup of beans they gave me was the size of a ketchup condiment container. I have more sauces and sour cream than my side of beans. What a waste of time and money. And I was so looking forward to it.

The HVAC system was not working. The sides are smaller than before. The customer service was not good

Great place, we got the taco platter, rotisserie chicken and pupusas. All 3 were delicious. Great atmosphere and delicious food definitely coming back.

We had Guapo’s catered for an engagement party and oh man, we will be dining in next time! Our servers/caterers, Caeser & Jackie, were awesome. We live on an unexpectedly large property, which I’m betting they didn’t count on when one hears “backyard party”. There are a lot of steps and no way to drive up to the party spot, but they hustled the food and setup as quickly as they could, in boiling July humidity.

I’m not a big bean person, but these beans were fantastic. Like, I would go in just to eat these beans. I might even eat enough leftovers to make myself sick of these beans. But for now? Bean heaven. They had excellent quesadillas with lots of meat and cheese, yummy rice with lots of veg, and awesome pulled chicken. The dips, sauces, ceviche and guac were all great.

Jose was very accommodating for the ordering process, but major kudos to Caesar and Jackie for powering through on such a humid day. Thank you to all that helped keep our guests fed.

I’ve been coming to Guapo’s in Woodbridge for a while now, and I can honestly say the new management has made a huge difference. From the moment you walk in, the experience feels completely refreshed. The staff actually greet you with a smile, which didn’t always happen before. There’s a noticeable improvement in both the atmosphere and the service.

One of the most impressive changes is how much faster everything is. I placed a to-go order using the app, and unlike in the past, it was ready exactly when promised—no more waiting an extra 10 minutes. The kitchen and front-of-house teams clearly have better coordination now, and the whole operation just feels smoother and more professional.

And let’s not forget the food—it’s still just as delicious as always. That’s one thing that’s never changed, and now with these service improvements, the overall experience is on a whole new level.

I truly hope these changes stick around, because it’s made Guapo’s one of my favorite spots again. Whoever is behind these improvements—whether it’s the new manager or someone else—deserves a raise. They’ve done an incredible job turning this location around!

Food was not good. I asked for a pupusa and it smelled like fish and tasted like fish. when I walked in the lady with lipstick on and a braid and a man with a hat on kept
Looking at me, they probably did something to my food. I am super disappointed and threw up because of how nasty it tastes. I think they did it on purpose because they kept looking at me when I did nothing wrong. don’t eat here they must have cross contamination or do stuff to the
Food.

It's one of those places that seems like the food takes forever to get to the table. But it's also one of those places where you leave the restaurant hurting because you finished all of your food. It was that good.

I just wanted to share a fantastic experience I had at Guapo's the other day! I popped in right before closing, and the cashier, Jacqueline S., was an absolute star. Seriously, the best customer service I've received all year – hands down!

I was undecided over what to order for the family meal for about five minutes, completely indecisive, but Jacqueline was so incredibly patient and helpful. She was so sweet and really took the time to help me find the perfect options. And the food? Fresh and piping hot! It was delicious.

Just wanted to give a huge shout-out to Jacqueline for making my experience so great.

Service was great, food was great! The restaurant was extremely clean the ONLY reason I gave atmosphere a 4 was because it was a little confusing as far as tipping, we ordered food and drinks (alcoholic drinks which is why our price point was higher) from the counter and drinks were made by that person and we were given a # and food was dropped off by someone I imagine was a food Runner so we were confused on who to tip.

I'm a frequent customer at least once a week. When we sit down for a meal the service and food are excellent. If we order take out there is food missing or the quality is lacking. This happens 50% of the time when we pick up our food and take it home. I noticed other customers with similar experiences. This is a requiring problem. Is management addressing it? I would like to know, if not there is a very nice restaurant (Hector's) nearby that has great drinks and food.
