From the beginning, Hernan and everyone else we worked with made the experience easy, and both the food and service they provided was exceptional.Hemibry played a major role in creating a great wedding day. Many wedding attendees expressed it was the best wedding food they'd ever had, and we appreciated their menu customizability and additional offerings, including a late night snack our guests appreciated. The bartending staff was also professional and efficient.I especially appreciated the way Hemibry looked out for us, including making sure we ate and setting aside drinks and appetizers specifically for the wedding party. Their strong service ensured we could focus on the wedding day itself instead of little details.I'd strongly recommend Hemibry for anyone planning a wedding in northern Virginia.

We came from Alexandria for a visit to Campbell’s Frozen Custard which was terrific and then wanted lunch. Looked on Trip Advisor and found Arepas Capital that had high ratings. They get high ratings for a great reason. A superb culinary delight! The food is seasoned perfectly and deliciously. My wife had the Cachapas, which we ordered another one to take with us and I had Parrilla Mar Y Tierra! 5 out of 5 and beyond. The service was the absolute best from Dianna that gave us the recommendation for our lunch. We will be back many more times!!! Thank you for the best meal!!!

Very nice owner. But the issue I had with this company was that they served my guest stale sandwiches. The bread was rock hard. (So embarrassing) I ordered the Picnic Platter for 29 people. So 29 stale old sandwiches were served to my guest

In November 2019 my fiancé and I hired Hemibry Catering to cater our wedding that is currently scheduled for October 2020. We chose this company because they were on the list of catering companies that work with the venue that will be hosting our wedding. Our initial experience with Hernan, the owner, was good. He allowed us to put down a little less than the required 50% deposit that is due in order for us to lock in the date for Hemibry to cater our wedding. We appreciated his flexibility at that time. Less than three months later, by choice, we fulfilled the full contract amount that would have been due three days before our wedding. Fast forward to March 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic shut down just about everything including the venue that will be hosting our wedding, we became increasingly concerned about all of our wedding plans. I reached out to Hemibry Catering to express our concerns and asked if we would be able to obtain a full refund in the event that our wedding must be cancelled which would be out of our control. A person named Stephanie advised me that we would not be able to get the deposit back and that they would be willing to reschedule dates with no penalty or if we do not have a wedding at all she stated that the funds can be used towards another event such as a BBQ, birthday etc. Unfortunately we do not intend on having another event that would call for almost $6,000 in catering so that option would definitely not work for us. Also, it is extremely important to us that we keep the same wedding date if the government guidelines allow us to have a much smaller gathering because changing the date is not an option we're looking to explore. Although we understand that per our contract the deposit would be kept, we were hopeful of receiving a full refund if we do not have a wedding at all because thankfully the venue that will host our wedding along with other companies we already hired are being extremely flexible in working with us with making adjustments even if it goes against what's in our contracts because they understand that the situation with the pandemic is totally out of our control. A couple of days ago I reached out to Hernan, the owner, asking if he would be willing to adjust the contract and lower the amount of guests from 60 people to a much lower number, possibly 30, in the event that we would not be able to have the number of guests we originally planned for due to the government guidelines that continue to change. When I advised Hernan that we already paid the full amount that was due, he stated "I'm not able to refund any money...." He went along with further explaining that all the money they use is for operations, which left us feeling as if he possibly spent the full amount that we've already paid. I found it odd that he like Stephanie, offered the option to move the date, but failed to remind us that we still have the option of cancelling completely and be refunded the amount outside of the deposit that we're entitled to, per our contract. I explained to him that I feel that it is not good business practice to still charge us for 60 people if we can only have 30. He stated that they are being flexible by moving dates. Again, not reminding us of the option to cancel completely and be refunded a portion of the funds, per our contract. I advised him that I really need him to work with us in making some kind of adjustment and also expressed to him that I understand the difficulties that businesses are currently experiencing, however, he should also be more flexible with us because morally it's the right thing to do. The call ended with him telling me that he does not have an answer at the moment but he is trying to make things fair for everyone and will get back to me. The conversation left us feeling a lack of confidence in how he conducts business with his clients during a crisis but I still am slightly hopeful that he allows us to change the number of guests he will cater for to a much lower number and refund us a portion of our money. Hemibry was recommended to my then-fiancé (now husband) and me by our wedding venue, and we loved working with Hernan and his Hemibry staff for our wedding. We worked with Hemibry for the service aspect of our wedding - dining room set up, servers, bartenders, set up and break down for the event - basically anything that kept our guests comfortable, well-fed, and happy with a drink in their hands. When my then-fiancé (now husband) and I met with Hernan, he helped us to pick the perfect linens and dishware for our wedding. Hernan was very warm, sociable, and very responsive. When we discussed the different aspects or our wedding, the momentos we wanted included, how we wanted to display our specialty food items, our signature cocktails, and other many other things, Hernan assured us nothing was beyond his abilities. And he demonstrated just that! On the day of the wedding, the servers and bartenders looked sharp and were on their A game. The signature cocktails came out perfectly! No one waited long for drinks. The servers worked the rooms like pros. Dinner service happened smoothly. When I knocked over a vase with my fluffy dress, the water was mopped up within the blink of an eye. They made sure my husband and I, and the rest of the bridal party, ate and drank. Hernan was there the entire night making sure everything was perfect. My guests loved him and his staff. At the end of the night, everything was cleaned up, and our wedding décor was neatly packed up and ready for us to shove into our cars. Hernan and his staff took such great care of us. We highly recommend Hemibry for anyone who needs a service company for weddings or any other big event. If we host another event, we would love to call Hernan and his team to work it!

From the start, working with Hernan was easy and he was always so responsive to my emails. When we went for our tasting we fell in love with the food and knew it would be perfect for our wedding. They allow you to pick packages for your wedding and also allow you to add whatever special requests you want! They provided phenomenal staff (bar tenders, servers, etc.) for the day of the wedding, and have SO MANY options (colors, textures) for the linens and chargers etc. that were included in the package! We had so many complements on not only the cocktail hour but also the food for the dinner at our wedding and I would highly recommend this company, they did such a great job!
