Our server Rachel was exceptional! She was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and just a joy to be around! She took great care with our food allergies and to be sure we were all satisfied throughout our meal (we had a large party and she handled everything with ease and a joyful spirit). Our food was incredibly delicious! We left satisfied and well-pleased.
Food was very good the fish and chips was fresh and hot they definitely care about your allergies here me and my girlfriend will be back!
We dine weekly at NYAJ's and are never disappointed. The menu options, service and ambiance are among the best available in the area. Today we brought a visiting couple with us and we all were more than pleased with our meals. The restaurant was short staffed but our server, was prompt, cheerful, and never missed a beat assuring we had a superb dining experience.
Nice brunch menu and tasty food, great breakfast potatoes. They serve complimentary focaccia bread. Relaxing and not rushed.
We were disappointed in the Reuben sandwich. The quality of the corn beef was not very good.
Excellent evening at the Woodbridge, VA NYAJs yesterday! We were greeted by the manager Usy( I’m not good at names) who was working on clearing tables. We had a couple minute wait for our outside table. There were 3 of us and we ordered drinks and appetizers to share. Desi was our server. She was attentive and cheerful (not annoyingly so). The Bang Bang Shrimp, Potstickers and my favorite Ahi Tuna Wontons were wonderful! Cocktails as well! We all had been regulars up to about 18 months ago as the service was atrocious. So glad NYAJ is back. This is my 2nd visit in a month. Will be back soon. Kudos to the new manager and staff. Keep it up!
NYAJ's is a weekly dining stop and we are never disappointed. The service and entrees are excellent. On this occasion, I had salad followed by soup and a sandwich. My bride had an entree salad. Our server, Des, was terrific: prompt, professional and personable.
We dine at NYAJ's weekly because we are never disappointed. On this visit, my bride had an entree salad with grilled chicken and I had a side salad with the mustard crusted chicken salad; both were excellent. The good is always great but we also come back regularly for the superb service. Today, Donovan took care of us and was terrific!
really pretty good. food was good, service attentive and kind. That day thwy had issues with their payment connection and luckly I had cash from my own restaurant that I could use and pay it back. Otherwise, not sure what thwy would do. We had 10 of us and everyone liked their meal. the restaurant accomadated the large party with little notice, nicely. The german style veal was a little tough, however and my chicken on the salad could have used more flavor. I should have asked for dressing on side too as it was a little heavy handed. Overall though, not bad. would go back. prices were reasonable.
Kid-friendliness: they took care of the two kids in our party nicely and we took care to make sure thwy behaved, did not make a mess and stayed off any electronic devises to not distract other dinners and to teach them how to interact with others in public.

Had not been here for a few years. I was shocked that for a holiday weekend at 6pm, there were only maybe 5 tables occupied when we arrived. I took it as a bad sign since the area itself was very busy at the time. For starters, our bread was ice cold and when I asked if we could get warm bread they said it's probably cold from the air conditioning...(?). They brought another basket but it was also cold. The edges of the crust were also kind of soggy, so I'm assuming they made it ahead of time and kept it refrigerated since not many people were in there. We tried the chicken nachos which I heard was good but it seemed quite small, and the bottom layer of chips were so soggy that they were mushy and inedible. I tried the meatloaf for something new and I loved it. My friend got the fish and chips and it was hot and fresh but the breading was insanely salty. So basically it was hit or miss. I agree with others that it seems to be declining in service and in food, and definitely not worth the price. A little disappointed we chose it for the birthday celebration spot.
We came in the door and was warmly greeted by the manager Henry. We received great recommendations when asking for help deciding between items via our server Chloe who provided great and friendly service. Henry insisted we try the peanut butter thing which was an amazing experience as was the entire visit. We will 100% be coming back soon.

- food was fresh and had great flavor.
- bread basket was really nice as well.
- staff were hot or miss. The hostesses were weird and had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. The waitress was nice and helpful.
- place was clean and organized.
- prices are normal for the area.
- plenty of parking in the area.
- overall not a bad first experience.

I made a reservation, but realized I had made an error on the time when I got there and they didn’t have it. Luckily, there were several reservations available around the time I arrived, so I edited mine. However, the hosts refused to honor it since they “knew I just made it.” That’s not how reservations work… If there’s a reservation available and subsequently made it should be honored (even if it’s made last minute).

Visited Not Your Average Joe's for my niece's birthday lunch. It had been a while since I had been and unfortunately this visit was a bit of a letdown from my past visits. Our server must have been new or maybe having a bad day but she barely came around and hardly spoke when she did. The penne with vodka sauce needed more sauce although the vodka sauce didn't taste like my personal experience with vodka sauce at home or anywhere else. Add to that $8 to add chicken felt a bit much. Dumplings were ordered and sent out completely charred so had to be sent back, the 2nd batch was still a bit overdone but better and we didn't have time to try a 3rd time so we kept them. The tuna taco was tasty so that's a plus. The outdoor seating area was nice on a beautiful day and we love their bread and oil. Overall prices have jumped up quite a bit and quality in both food and service have declined. I'll try them again in the future but it will probably be a while before I do.
