Extremely slow!!

Employee seemed as though did not want to be at work—was suppose to credit my credit card for an overcharge. I thought it did not look right and sure enough never received my credit. He needs additional training on customer service and how to operate system. Mexican gentleman—he was at work on Friday—8/15/25 @ approximately 1:00pm.

Ok—management comments on my review—but no mention of crediting me the overcharge. Makes no sense.

First time to this restaurant. The staff was exceptionally nice which is always appreciated. The skinny turkey is not skinny, it's packed and delicious. 7.99 for the combo. I'm impressed and will return. Thanks guys!

Placed a pick up order for 2:04, didn’t get it until 2:30. I watched them make about 10 walk in orders and 3 pick up orders. And never touched my order even after I asked about it. I asked a different worker for help and he told me to hold on but never came back to hear what I needed help with. I asked for the manager and she said was sorry and but this is unacceptable. Now I’m rushing getting to where I have to go. My order was already paid for. Why did all of those walk in orders take priority over my (paid) order? Why not alternate back and forth between walk in order and pick up order so you don’t fall too far behind? Even a door dashers order got cancelled while he was there because they took to long to make it. By the time they made it, it was too late so the order for some hangry person named Troy was just sitting in the pick up cubby. They get two stars and not one only bc I like potbelly’s food. But this service was nonexistent.

I JUST OPENED MY FREAKING FOOD AND THERE IS HAIR IN IT !!!!!!! Like at this point what else could yall do wrong ?????

I ordered the Mediterranean sandwich and it had bacon on it. We also were disappointed that the milkshake machine was not working for the kids. We paid for a jar of peppers and did not get it.

I have a favorite, which is what I usually order- BLTA skinny with a cup of chili. It was great as usual with the blend of delicious bacon, tomatoes, lettuce & avocado on a toasted roll. Yum!

Where do begin? First let’s discuss the racism I experienced at this location from brown people of color. I ordered 2 sandwiches the young black man that took my order was great! But the service I received from the rest of the team was far from being great. The older, short, glasses wearing Hispanic women, clearly had an issue with people of color. The two white patrons in front of me were handed their sandwiches after she added their toppings. However when I informed her that I had two sandwiches that I wanted her to add the same toppings for both became a problem. First she grabbed one of two of the sandwiches, I repeated myself that I had TWO sandwiches that I wanted to be made the same - she completely ignored me! So we went through the first sandwich and I told her all the toppings in which she had an attitude. When she proceeded to complete the second sandwich, she saw that I was displeased with her attitude and the white man in front of me gave her a look as well; she proceeded to give a nervous smile as her attitude was drawing attention to pretend she was not being unprofessional. After completing both of my sandwiches, she refused to hand them to me which I felt was odd! She told me that the cashier would give them to me. I stood there in disbelief as again she just handed the white people in front of me theirs and customarily that has been my experience in any other Pot Belly’s. So when I got to the cashier I told her that I had the two sandwiches expecting her to bring it to the register to ring me up; do you know that old witch wouldn’t allow the cashier to get the sandwiches from her to hand me until I paid for them! Not only did she stand guard of those sandwiches as if I was going to steal “TWO” sandwiches; the cashier told me she had told her that I had two BIGS when I had to originals. I made the cashier get the sandwiches so she could verify herself; as the older lady was getting into it with the black male customer behind me. Her yelling at him saying; “you need to answer the question that I asked you!” in a very condescending tone. The audacity of this racist lying older Hispanic woman to treat customers like this beyond me, as if we have to take this. Unlike her I don’t work at a sandwich shop, and my salary is in the tax bracket of high income earners; so I would NEVER in this lifetime need to steal sandwiches and so utterly disgusted by her actions I will NEVER return to this location… in fact if you are a black person please don’t visit this location as I would not want you to endure this type of treatment from anyone especially another person of color! And the sandwiches weren’t good; as she barely added any toppings besides thick cut onions in which she loaded the sandwiches up with-after all of that!

If you’re thinking about going here during lunch hours then you might want to consider another place! From the time I got in line until checkout the process took 25 minutes!!!!!!! Completely understaff for lunch traffic! There was only one person checking customers out along with him answering the phone AND handling mobile orders. He literally got on a call that took over 5 minutes while not one but 3 people were just waiting to checkout! The call took nearly 5 minutes! Finally when it was my time to checkout he didn’t acknowledge me standing there! Completely turned his back and proceeded to make milkshakes! I tried to be patient but after a minute of him making not one but 2 I had to speak up and get him to check me out!
As someone that has worked in the food industry and customer service I give this restaurant a 2 rating! The Hispanic young man that worked the register was very slow and not equipped to be working in a high pace environment!
I don’t know who the manager is but clearly he or she underestimates lunch hour traffic and it shows in the lack of manpower!
Please remember that customers are on very short lunch breaks and don’t have time to stand in a line for nearly 30 minutes!!!!
I won’t be returning any time soon!

Found this as soon as we started to eat and so we did not eat or finish anything else for fear of finding another foreign object. I am just glad that an adult had ordered this and not a child. I called potbelly requesting a full refund but they refused because I used a third party (DoorDash) and they “don’t have access to that information” (the information being the money their store is getting…). This is not only a safety hazard but appalling. I’ve already tried messaging potbelly via Facebook, Instagram and their customer care email and nothing. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

12/17/24, this Potbelly in Woodbridge normally has decent enough service. But today, it was horrendously awful!! I ordered 2 regular sandwiches from the app around 3:30ish pm where the suggested pickup time was 3:43 pm. I live close by so I got there around 3:38 pm. The young man in the counter did ask my name for my order a few minutes when I arrived but unfortunately was not experienced enough to know that if I’ve been waiting for more than 20+ minutes for my order, a manager should’ve at least been notified to expedite my order. Anyway, people and their orders came and went while I didn’t get my order till past 4:05 pm. 30+ minutes after my appointment order. Which is kinda inexcusable. Very disappointed as the employees didn’t really seem to care that much about a very delayed order.

Horrible service. Rose was touching my food with her bare hands and ignoring us while we were trying to explain to her what we wanted in our sandwich.
