Delicious vegan options. The Sweet Potato Business and Crazy Jungle rolls were fresh and delicious.

Ordered the spicy Jin ramen … I was so disappointed. Food had no flavor at all. Not even spicy.

Don’t waste your time ordering the ramen. Worst ramen I have ever had- broth had no flavor at all, noodles were complete mush, “soft” boiled egg was overcooked even for a hard boiled egg, and the pork was chewy with no flavor. Then it was completely covered in sesame seeds… sesame seeds don’t belong on ramen! I couldn’t even eat more than a couple bites. Very disappointing!

The food here is always top notch, and one of my favorite sushi places in the area. It’s also my favorite Sushi Jin location in the NoVA.
The biggest issue here is kitchen timing. They tend to have takeout orders staggered between dine in orders, so one person’s entree will arrive at the table well before the other. Balancing orders and kitchen timing the right way will take this place from good to great all around

The cucumber on the ChaSu Bun was thicker than the sliver of pork. Nothing like the photo. Disappointing. Sushi was mediocre and presented plainly. Maybe they just do less at lunch? Or maybe because I was a solo diner, but I wouldn’t go back.

Sushi Jin Next Door is an unforgettable dining experience that blends stunning presentation, bold flavors, and warm, welcoming service. Each dish is a visual work of art—think glistening sashimi, torched nigiri, and signature rolls that arrive looking almost too beautiful to eat. The flavors are just as impressive: fresh, balanced, and occasionally surprising in the best way. What really sets this place apart, though, is the vibe—laid-back but refined, with staff who make you feel genuinely cared for. Whether you’re a sushi purist or love trying inventive creations, the menu has something for everyone. It’s the kind of spot you’ll find yourself coming back to without thinking twice. My daughter and I got the Sushi Combo, and it was just enough! If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out.>>>Dr. Lynn

First time having dinner at Sushi Jin today, and I was very impressed! Every dish was delicious and full of flavor. The sushi was incredibly fresh with no fishy smell—just clean and tasty. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. I also loved the cozy, charming decor that gave a warm, authentic feel of a traditional Japanese hometown. Definitely coming back again!

I had an incredible experience at this sushi restaurant! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was attentive without being overbearing, and every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The fish was fresh and flavorful, and the variety of rolls offered something for every palate—from classic favorites to more adventurous combinations.

One small suggestion that would elevate the experience even more: including pictures of all the different rolls on the menu. With so many unique options, a visual guide would help customers—especially first-timers—get a better idea of what to expect and make more confident choices. That said, every roll we tried exceeded expectations!

Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving top-notch sushi and a memorable dining experience.

Very delicious food here!! We got the chicken ramen bowl, spicy jin ramen, and fried octopus. The ramen bowls had a lot of noodles which was awesome! Very nice place, employees were very nice too!! Would recommend to anyone who likes ramen and sea food

Upon entering, the place felt a little cramped as the service desk was next to the single entry door with people going in and out of the same little area. I liked the decor of the place but the music was a bit loud to the point where the staff just went ahead and turned off the music. My wife ordered a soft drink and with a soft drink costing $3.50, I thought it would come from some place better other then a can.

After we received our Takoyaki appetizer, I was unpleased how un-authentic it was. The Takoyaki had no 鰹節 (katsuobushi) topping but was replaced with red cabbage to make it look like katsuobushi and the mayo was replaced with something else that wasn't authentic to the dish. Prior to my order arriving, I noticed a table beside me was using a small plate to use for their soy sauce which I thought was odd. I ordered the Nigiri Dinner but once I received it, I again was very disappointed in the dish since its only raw fish.

The rice was not seasoned and did not taste like sushi rice. It tasted like they used regular rice that had been sitting out for awhile since the rice was dry and chewy. I had to request my waiter to bring me a soy sauce dish since one was not provided, but what they gave me instead was what looked like an old school dipping cup that looks like it should be holding ketchup, not soy sauce. So it was very agitating trying to dip my nigiri in the soy sauce in this deep container. My opinion, part of the great reviews this place receives is from its rolls that are drenched in sauce which may help with the dryness of the rice.

My wife had ordered the Spicy Jin Ramen but again, the dish was not authentic to what is normally served in a Japanese ramen. My wife found they served her quite a bit of onions in her ramen along with a boiled egg instead of a soft boiled egg. My wife and I didn't finish our meal but before I left, I went to use the restroom.

The restrooms are tucked away in what appear to be in a storage area and when walking into the bathroom, it was a single bathroom that was also used for storage. Unless the restaurant decided to serve authentic Japanese food, I don't believe I will be returning.

First time going to Sushi Jin. Wanted to try it and I ordered a Chicken Ramen. The Chicken Ramen was very bland and seemed like it wasn’t seasoned. Probably won’t be going back.
