Service friendly but way too slow, food ok, beer in plastic cups at lunch time. I will not come back here.

Meh. I don't write many reviews but here we go..

my bf and I were heading south for a few hours from fairfax and needed a brunch spot. First time here. Pulled into the parking lot on sunday morning around 11am and hardly any cars(first red flag) was seated immediately because nobody was there. We each ordered a drink. He got a mimosa and I ordered a red sangria. Server came back few minutes later explaining they didn't have ingredients to make sangria. They just opened and it's Sunday brunch.

GM came by to ask how things were and we said fine even though we had no food. Few minutes later my Moscow mule came with my food.

French toast- dry. Came with potatoes even though it doesn't mention it on menu. A side of scrambled eggs- runny and under cooked. Potatoes- mushy and oily.
His food- crab soup- mostly broth and nothing else. Basic side salad and side of breakfast potatoes as well.

I always finish French toast- not today. Scrambled eggs- not a chance. Def not potatoes either.

Not sure how this place makes it. Sunday brunch should be busy. $65 and def not worth it.

Beautiful location fell short by sub-par food, and very OK service. Crab cake was one I would expect to get in an area that isn't known for blue crabs. The peppers in it were overpowering. Very disappointing. Would not be somewhere I'd recommend.

Harbor Grille has the best fish and chips that we have had in Virginia so far.

What are these white shirts? Part why I come here is the relaxed and fun atmosphere. I came in decked in my Adidas sweats and was greeted with employees in the psuedo-fine dining attire. Part of The Harbour Grille’s customer appeal is the ambiance of a relaxed, family friendly, and personable environment. These white shirts ARE NOT it! If you have a wedding or formal event, I can understand supporting uniforms but not at the bar and general area. Terrible branding. No Jerseys on Sundays? Terrible idea! Change it back.

We experienced significant issues w/ food quality, communication & hospitality on a slow Sunday afternoon for a birthday brunch.

Communication- [3 issues] (1) The adjustment to our party size was acknowledged by the restaurant prior to the day of our visit. That wasn’t communicated internally, and the manager initially refused to see us in the area that was agreed upon - despite the availability of a table/s since it was slow. (2) They didn’t communicate they were out of creamer AND milk until they brought the coffee. (3) When we sent FULL drinks back that were inedible, the waitress didn’t communicate that she would still charge us. Yet, she was happy to bring the other drink I requested as a replacement so she could charge for both.

Food- [4 issues] (1) Chicken was too salty. One in my party sent it back (was still charged), the rest of us drowned it in gravy bc we were starving. (2) The French toast was stale for my friend. (3) My other friend ate her steak but the rest was too cold (pictured) (4) The espresso martinis we gracefully spit back into the glass bc they tasted like pure rubbing alcohol. We sent them back, glasses full. We were still charged WITHOUT the waitress communicating she would still charge us.

Atmosphere- The outdoor area is cold during the winter. There was no heater on the side of the room we were seated (right in front of TV). Avoid that area unless you have a blanket or are ok with keeping your coat on.

Stopped in for some pre-happy hour drinks. Xzavier is one of the most ambitious and talented bartenders. He’s super creative and bursting with drink ideas! Definately the energy you want to find in a bartender. Rare to find in most places; but here they have it.

PS. Tell him to make you custom shooters! They were delicious and so much fun creating. Pictured below… salted recees (cream) and dragon’s blood (pink).

Staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Will definately return to have their food!

The Harbour Grille is nestled on the river and is a nice place to eat. The food and drinks are a little pricey but the atmosphere is good. The staff is always attentive to the customers needs.
Decent karaoke on Friday nights.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, we waited 3-5
minutes at the host station without being greeted or seated. It wasn’t until a patron returning from the bathroom noticed us waiting unattended and invited us to join his work party in the heated back patio that we found a place to sit. Unfortunately, after sitting down, we waited an additional 10-15 minutes without being acknowledged. The bartender in the back patio seemed to avoid eye contact despite clearly seeing us earlier, leaving us without menus, drinks, or any service.

Eventually, we sought out help and found Xavier, who had just started his evening shift. He explained that the staff was busy preparing for a large Christmas party, which was understandable. However, it was disappointing that there didn’t seem to be proper coverage for walk-in patrons like our party of three.

Xavier truly saved the day. He agreed to serve our table and delivered phenomenal service. He was attentive, made us laugh, and recommended some amazing margaritas. Once our order was placed, the food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious—the spinach dip, salmon, stuffed shrimp, and gourmet cheeseburger were all excellent.

Despite the initial service hiccup, we will definitely return and will specifically request Xavier, whose top-notch customer service made our visit memorable. He’s a fantastic addition to the team, and we made sure to tip him well for his outstanding efforts.

I ordered a crab cake and a crush in a can. My man ordered a meat lover’s flatbread pizza and a spicy mango margarita.

First off, the crush in a can is really just a canned cocktail drink that taste nothing like blood orange and mango. It tastes more like seltzer water with a splash of citrus. It’s not even orange in color, it’s clear. Looks and tastes just like seltzer water for $10.00. The Crab cake was more like something you buy outta the freezer section of your local grocery store. Very small, overcooked but they charged market prices $30.00., it should’ve been more like $10. for the size and it was overcooked. It came with some homemade chips that tasted like burnt oil and was almost as hard as baby biscuits!! The flatbread pizza wasn’t as bad but certainly wasn’t worth the price of $22. The best thing we ordered was the spicy mango margarita. Not only was the food less desirable but we also had to wait to be seated for more than 15mins, with no line and empty seats in the restaurant. That being said customer service was a bit lacking. So much so that I didn’t even leave a tip, and I generally leave 20% on average for the last 10yrs or so. But in this case I gave them what I thought the food and service was worth. It was trash. Buyer Beware if Patronizing this Airport Location.

I will never eat there again!!!!!
