Don’t overlook this place!! Decided to eat here after checking out some of the other restaurants in town and I didn’t regret it! It’s very small and may not look like an excellent restaurant upon first glance but the food is great. It was incredibly clean and the service was fast (despite the fact that our waitress was the only employee and was preparing and serving all the food - shout-out to her)! I recommend the pulled chicken salad, but I’m sure you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Well, I just passing through I stopped by to get some ribs and some chicken wings they were out of both so I ended up getting some of the pool pork and deer God it was like eating woodchucks the driest ish I’ve ever had in my days. Oh my goodness but they were such nice people. Now I’m off to try to find something a little more palatable.

Small unassuming place that doesn't look like much but offers some tasty eats. The girl working was very sweet and attentive. Everyone really enjoyed their food, I would have given 5 stars, but I ordered brisket and received pork. It still tasted good though. Our favorite was the fried pickles, bot at all what we expected, but we were happily surprised with these pickle and cheese fried egg rolls

So glad we came here to eat tonight!! It was all delicious. Have been looking for melt in your mouth brisket for awhile now and have found it. Service was great, everything was hot and fresh and all the side items were excellent. Highly suggest the chicken wings with bone in.
Man, these guys knocked it out of the park! Little, unassuming BBQ joint with great rocking tunes to go along with the amazing food! Excellent pulled pork, hush puppies, and some spicy baked beans. Another member of the crew got what was easily one of the best looking burgers I've seen outside of some of the high end restaurants in bigger towns, and she said it was incredible! Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for great food with super reasonable prices!

I'm done with Hickory House... what kind of establishment looks the other way when one if its employees sets 6 puppies outside in 90+ degree weather with no water and no shade, stuffed inside a metal crate. Shame on any and all of you that knew and did nothing.

We were passing through on our way to Georgia. We stopped at Hickory House for lunch. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my wife had the brisket plate. The pulled pork was excellent and the brisket just melted in your mouth. I wish I lived close to Wytheville because I would eat there all the time.Kid-friendliness: I saw families in there and the owner was right at home talking with them.Parking: I would say that there is at least 25 spots.Wheelchair accessibility: The building used to be a gas station. The entrance is in one of the old bays, so you walk right into the building.
