This has been such a life savor for myself and even Milo my frenchie. Ive gone there and for 30 minutes of my time they put me in a happy full place and I feel good about having pitched in to keep the place clean as it always is. Food is delicious. Today for the 4th time I order exact same meal for myself. The steak wrap, beans, salad. I leave full everytime and expect for open door I would have had anything to eat from Thanksgiving to now.

I was a little surprised when they went up on price with their meals, cause Alot of people don't have that money on any priced menu especially the homeless.. I do hope they still have the volunteer for meals also to do a little work for their meal.. that's always been a great thing cause everyone deserves a good meal weather they have money or not

I wish they had a place like this in every town. First off the food is very very good. Everything is very clean too. Most of their meals are $10 but they have a $3 menu where you get a sandwich a side and a drink. If you cant afford $3 they will still feed you. They even have a deal to donate a half hour of your time and get a full meal. Seems like they do a lot for the community. Im not in wytheville often but from now on anytime Im here I'll be eating at open door cafe❤️ $3 meal in picture below chicken patty sandwhich is tender and crispy

I was looking for a lunch thought and found this near me to try. This restaurant is for the community and by the community: providing good food to those in need. The food was simple, but GREAT and really affordable. However the best part was the atmosphere. Quite literally every person working there was so cheerful and kind and just happy to be there. I don’t think I have EVER received better customer service than this.

The open door has been destroying Wytheville by attracting more homeless and drugs than the community can support. The local resources cannot handle the homeless being shipped in from larger cities like Roanoke. It’s a burden in tax payers and public services

Had lunch here. Meatloaf was off the chain! Sweet potato fries were off the chain! Noodle salad was noodle salad. Service was exceptional.
We stopped at this town during a road trip. The staff treated us and our dog with utmost friendliness. Beyond our expectations, the foods are also fabulous. Briskets are tender, salmon is juicy and fries are crisp. Everything was freshly made and pleasantly flavored. Highly recommended!

Stopped in for lunch while traveling through. We were greeted before we even stepped through the door and all the staff were exceptionally kind! We ordered chicken bacon wraps and they were delicious! Our favorite sides were the green beans and baked beans but the fries and salads were good as well.
