Very slow

Did not care. Food upset my stomach. They didn't have the sides my meal came with so they offered extra soda.

Extremely disorganized. Staff yelling at each other about how much chicken to drop, how long the wait is, disagreement about exactly what was asked to be dropped. Lots of making noise to appear busy but not really anyone actually working with a sense of urgency. Waited for chicken, waited for apple pies despite there being plenty in the bin. Chicken was bland, biscuit was hard, Mac and cheese was a big blob. I waited way too long and was very disappointed in the food which was not up to standards at other Popeyes I've eaten at. Time of visit 8/24/25 at 4:02 pm.

This is the most sorriest restaurant, I've ever seen poor customer service . Waited 30 minutes & still didn't get any food.

1★ Review – Wytheville Popeyes
Absolute train wreck of a Popeyes. My soda cup was thrown at me like I was an inconvenience, not a paying customer. Took over 20 minutes for a simple order, nothing special, nothing complicated. The whole crew looked miserable and clearly didn’t care. If this is the standard here, it’s beyond unacceptable. I won’t be back, and I wouldn’t recommend this location to my worst enemy.

I placed an order online for pickup. I ordered 2, 3 piece classic chicken orders with fries. I received 2, 4 piece tenders and fries. I was disappointed but wasn't driving 20 minutes back to fix it. The tenders might have been good if they were fresh.

It's at a truck stop so it's definitely more expensive than other locations. Staff is very friendly but wasn't ready for a rush of customers at dinner time.

Update edit. We ended up never getting our food. We waited in line for 22 mins with only two people ahead of us. Finally take the order. After 15 more mins we asked how much longer and they rudely said 8 more mins. That's 23 min cook time for 2 chicken wraps and chicken dunkers.
We get a full blown sit down Mexican food cooked for us in 20 minutes.
The manager then refused to give us our food because we told her that amount of time is unacceptable and our kids are starving.
She then said she didn't care if our child starved. Also said we should have went to Taco Bell or subway. So not only does your manager have zero management skills she's also sending your customers to other food establishments. Several other customers also then left the long line.
After seeing hundreds of reviews similar to ours we contacted corporate in hopes they will step in. This place is an embarrassment
Whoever runs this branch should be ashamed of themselves. The manager should be fired immediately. We lost an hour of time on our trip south and never even got our food.. we were completely disrespected by the manager and the lady taking the order.
20 years of eating Popeyes and I've never waited even close to that amount of time. Beyond unexceptable
I've never seen such laziness and disrespect in any establishment like that ever in my life.

Be very cautious when you eat here . This is not your typical Popeyes . Chicken tenders being the spicy ones were very bland

Workers were arguing loudly with each other.

One worker was complaining about being sick and was coughing all over the place.

We were wary about rating as popeyes food can be inconsistent across the stores. But the food was good and hot, and the staff were responsive. The shift manager was attentive and on top of things..the young staff were also on top of things getting things done.

Mercedes is probably on of the best servers I've seen. Fast and accurate with a smile. It was very busy and held it together

I've ate this place for years the food is amazing however lately the manager has an ugly attitude towards everybody last times I've came by please fix
