I went to Cinco DE Mayo Mexican Restaurant for lunch. Had not been there in years. They no longer had the lunch buffet. I was disappointed. I ate chicken fajitas for lunch. I was brought a sizzling platter of well seasoned chicken, peppers, and onions. Everything was well seasoned. I also had a plate of refried beans with cheese, sliced tomato, shredded lettuce, and guacamole. I had enough food to wrap up 6 to 8 fat tortillas. Great food. Service was good and polite. I enjoyed...
We come here pretty much every weekend, and have for several years. Other Mexican restaurants in the area do not compare. Here, they are consistent, reasonably priced, great flavors, good drink choices (mango cart all the way).. service has never been unreasonable - sure, if you come during a rush period service might slow down but I bet it is worse at other places.
I ordered beef taco and beef burrito with rice. The beef was ground very fine and quite mushy. The rice seemed to be white rice that was overcooked or old, which i didn't eat. However, the Texas Margarita was good. I would like to try something other than ground beef next time. Maybe Fajitas. We'll see how they do with those next visit.
