Kids love it. They have no restrooms so not a good thing once kids full up on ice and ice cream. The ice cream was stale but everything else was good. Take wipes so you can clean a spot at a table. They were all a sticky mess. The kids love it though and went home with blue toughest and sticky pants from sitting on goo

Love pelican, used to go everyday but this location raised prices by $2 from $3 to $5 and you’re still getting the same amount. $5 for a kids cup is insane. I just go to the other location where prices are the reasonable.

Yesterday was our 1st visit to Pelicans in Yorktown. The staff was friendly and I was impressed at all the flavor options. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a sno cone, and honestly… wasn’t expecting too much.
I decided to try the cream on my Tigers Blood and it was delicious! Thanks for a yummy treat after visiting the beautiful a Machicomoco state park in Gloucester & Yorktown Beach. We will be back!!

I usually love coming here, but now I’m not so sure. Last time I came here I ordered a pickle snow cone like I do every time but when I got the snow cone it started to burn my mouth really bad. I went back up to the window and told them what it tasted like and they just said “that’s how it’s supposed to taste”. I definitely think it’s not supposed to burn your mouth. So I just asked for another one of the same flavor to see if it was different but it was actually worse because it started to burn my throat. So I went back up to the window and told them that it was worse and they didn’t even ask if I wanted a different flavor or something to help. I’m very disappointed with my experience and I’m hoping next time or if I ever try this again I’ll be more pleased with it.

Unfortunately I have to give another bad review.
2 weeks ago we went for ice cream with friends and there was HAIR IN MY ICE CREAM. The guy working that day had a thick beard that wasn’t covered all the way. ? Decided to just let it go and not cause a scene but even still, that was nasty ?

Honestly we keep coming back cause we love the ice cream flavors and also the cones but yesterday on September 29th we went there like we do every Sunday, and wanted ice cream but they said they’re not doing that anymore even though it clearly says on the sign that they will sell ice cream UNTIL SEPTEMBER 30!! We told the staff member to take that sign down cause it’s not true anymore. We knew that September 30 was the last day for ice cream so we were confident we would still get some. So very disappointed. We drove there for nothing. We decided right then and there that we’re not going back anymore. Staff is VERY VERY bad at their job to be honest. Whenever something goes wrong (that is clearly their fault) no compensation, no nothing. I see the owner always says that they are training them but how hard is it to scoop an ice cream or put syrup on a snow cone?? Also, there should be someone in-charge with them who is knowledgeable to fix mistakes right? Seems like you’ve been training people for months and they’re still not good at their jobs. And pup cups for $3?? Really?? Starbucks gives theirs away for free. Overall, nice taste, bad service, BAD STAFF. Change or close it so other people won’t have the same experience.

The blonde girl got most of our orders wrong and did not even try to compensate for it. She just smiled while saying sorry. There were only 4 of us who ordered and she still got it wrong. All you have to do is remember the order and scoop ice cream. Do better PLEASE!
