This is a very nice place to stop for a bite to eat. Either for a full meal or just a little snack to get you by.
I do recommend the chocolate silk pie. The shaved curls of chocolate on top just set it perfectly.
Sorry about no pictures.
FANTASTIC SERVICE
FANTASTIC FOOD
We were made to feel like we have been coming to The Bridge for years, and we've only been in town for 2 weeks. Will be going back for sure!
Great food and friendly environment.
I looked forward to this visit. Since moving to Rutland in 2019, I hadn't had a chance to visit the bridge and the diner named after it! My Spanish omelet was HUGE and very filling. Only a couple of other customers were there, but I was told it was just the calm before the storm. Anyway I will go back again someday. It's worth a stop. Friendly staff.
Delicious home cooked meals. Recommend the French onion soup and turkey sandwich was real turkey!
There is a totally bogus poor review on here that came from my business and one of my employees probably mistakenly wrote that review not realizing they were logged in as my business. As a fellow local business, I, the owner of that business, apologize profusely for what my employee did to yours by writing such a review under our business name. I have put the word out that I was upset by this and have asked them to take this down immediately.
Great breakfast ?

Small local restaurant right off the Lake Champlain Bridge, at Chimney Point, VT. Menu is simple, fairly priced, and prepared well. Two eggs, bacon and toast - $8,49. A convenient location close to fishing, birding and nature areas.
Parking: Space for cars with a trailer attached
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in front of restaurant

Stopped in 40 minutes before close they served us without complaint the food was awesome. And the “service was great”. The waitress made our day with her quick wit. Food was fast hot and delicious
On my last bicycle trip I stopped in for lunch. They close at 2. At 1:00 she denied me a beverage and dropped the check explaining that they were closing soon. But she continued to seat other parties. She just wanted the table back open! Bad attitude as well. Ok diner food.

I have been to the restaurant a handful of times whenever I come to the area. It’s the quintessential local diner and I have loved everything I’ve gotten food wise. The waitstaff is very down to earth and friendly.

Interesting place, old home cooked meals, homemade pies. Beautiful views of the bridge between Vermont and New York.
Parking: Parking is a bit tight but is convenient to the dinner.

Been going here for decades when visiting VT. Lisa runs a tight ship to serve her customers well and interacts sincerely with customers. Variety of menu options and the resultant food are wonderful and we enjoyed each meal we had there on our recent trip; as we always do. We value the food quality, service and willingness to be open over labor day weekend each day! Thank you Lisa and team !
I don't rate places unless they are really good or I've given them multiple chances. This was my 3rd try at this place. First was good, and it's been down hill since.
The most recent was $40 dollars for 2 baskets and 2 drinks. (plus 4% for using a card!)
There's so much wrong with the fries I don't know where to begin to say what they need. Their oil temp is likely too high as they were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. They also likely put way too many in at once. And it's also likely the same oil they use for everything else.
The Burger was fine, but when asked how I wanted it, I didn't get it that way.
The ice cream looked OK, but I was too put off by the other food to try it.
Kid-friendliness: Out door seating, and kid friendly staff.
