Good traditional German food and great beer and pretzels.

Very stingy appetizer (the duck knodel, which sadly lacked the dumpling and paprika salt). And the fried egg looked like it was straight from Sysco, not something locally raised sadly. I would return, but would get an entree next time for a few more bucks. Also, pints of beer run between $11-14, which is a bit steep, even in today’s world. I was at another fantastic German place in Queensbury called Spargle on 9 a couple weeks ago; their half liters are $9, and their portions are HUGE (with homemade pretzels on the house no less)! And no Oktoberfest on Sundays apparently? Cool place though

It was Oktoberfest and a beautiful day. Live music on the patio and waitresses in dirndls. Very nice!

October festivities in full force ❣️all around great time and great foods/ beer
Sat down for 15 minutes and was not given attention by a server until I had already gotten up to leave. The server approached the person I was with after I had already gotten up to walk away, at which time I was called back to the table…. to see the waitress had again left in the 20 seconds it took for me to return. So, again we both at that point got up to leave and did not come back.
The German club in RI plays the same sort of music, probably on some kind of spotify playlist…drives me nuts. I’m sure there are more songs out there that can be played from German artists if someone only cared enough to curate such a non-redundant playlist.

We chose to dine at Bronwyn on Battenkill because we were staying very nearby, it something different than where we'd normally chose to eat, and it seemed appropriate as it's Octoberfest. We were warmly greeted when we walked in. The staff is amazing!!! Every was friendly, smiling, and hustling. Really the best staff I've seen at a restaurant in a very long time! The food was very good. We decided to do the 3 course menu.We both started with the pumpkin soup, which was outstanding. I had the burger, and my partner had the turkey drumstick, both came with potatoes. We were pretty full after that, but the best part was dessert! I opted for the chocolate mousse and he chose the apfelstrudel. Sooooo good. It was a good meal, in a very festive atmosphere, with superb servers.

As a long time patron of Chauncey's it was quite remarkable to view the changes in this restaurant. Love what you've done with the place. We were attending an employee appreciation dinner. We had a great time and the service was outstanding. Along with a few of my fellow diners I chose the saurbraten which while not served with traditional sides was absolutely out of this world. Tender, flavorful and a generous portion to boot. The cheesy mashed potatoes was a nice complement. And I enjoyed the craft German beer I sampled. The Apple Kuchen was just okay. But overall, I had a wonderful experience. I can't wait to go back and sample some other choices on the menu starting with the schnitzel. Thanks for a great evening.

This is a really wonderful place - a welcome addition to the area. Food is different than the more traditional options around here so you get to try stuff you may be less familiar with, and it's absolutely delicious, as are the drinks.

We tried this restaurant while on a short trip through the area. The food was better than I expected, possibly the best German-style cuisine I've ever had. Our server was wonderful, and the outdoor seating had a scenic and rustic view. Loved this place!
