Stopped in for dinner tonight. I died and went to Jamaica!!! The owner and her mother cook and serve authentic Jamaican food. We had these stewed chicken (because they sold out of the jerk chicken) and the meat literally fell off the bone. The flavors popped in your mouth! It was one of the yummy-ist things I’ve ever eaten! You need to try their delicious food. We will be back for the jerk. And for the homemade soup on Friday’s!

Fantastic food. Like really really good curry. I was shocked at how good it was. Was not expecting really good Jamaican food in the middle of Vermont. Definitely try this place.

I went for lunch today and my Curry Goat was wonderful! My taste buds danced for joy indeed. My patties were excellent, too. Looking forward to trying the Jerked Chicken next time. Thank you for a fabulous and spicy meal on a chilly day!

One of the absolute best restaurants in southern Vermont. Authentic Jamaican cuisine in a very clean and friendly environment. Live DJ, Domino games and cool decor.

The esco fish dinner is excellent!

11/10 food and atmosphere!! We traveled around VT and NH for our anniversary and ended up in Bennington for a couple days. I wanted to save the best for last (best being based on reviews and personal food likes), and it truly is THE BEST. My favorite restaurant we visited throughout the whole trip, and wish we had Island Flavor back home in Burlington, VT.

Tastiest Jamaican food I've found outside Boston. Curried chicken was very good and the rice and beans were cooked perfectly.

It's always great to see new people move to town and open a business, but to watch them grow? Island Flavor started as a much smaller, take-out spot but has grown into a new, sit-down building with the best vibes and a great selection of retail items. Everyone is friendly, the restaurant is always clean and the food is unmatched. Huge portions of authentic jamaican food that's always hot, fresh and served with a smile. Love having Island Flavor here in Bennington!

The food here is all amazing! My favorite is the brown stew chicken, extremely flavorful. The oxtail and curried chicken and goat are wonderful as well. The rice and beans are somehow sooo good, and dont forget to grab a beef patty! The large portion is very large, usually two full meals for me.

Definitely some of the best food and flavor that you can find in not only Bennington but all of Vermont. This was the third time I've ordered from them and it was first time at the new spot. It's been really good everything and today was no different/ in fact it was outstanding. I ordered a combo jerk chicken with oxtail / large dinner and a side of rice and peas( beans) for the wife. It came to about 32 bucks/ 24 for the plate/ 6 for the side and tax. It was so good/ well worth it just for taste alone. There was a decent amount of oxtail/ a piece of jerk chicken breast/ couple plantain slices/ sautéed cabbage carrot/ and plenty of rice and peas with also another type of bean maybe butter bean I don't know/ I asked for a small side of the spicy jerk bbq sauce( unbelievably good sauce!) That's a must have/ when you get a scoop of the rice with the oxtail gravy and some cabbage and beans in there it's outstanding and basically just leave me the hell alone don't look at me don't talk to me don't ask me nothing /just let me hammer down and eat my food. I wouldn't hesitate to try the whole menu I know it's gonna be good. Treat yourself go and get some of this/ they didn't have any patties/ next time hopefully.
They have tables and a bar so you can dine in also/ very nice space . Best of luck to the owners/ hoping they do well there.

Parking: I believe there is parking in their lot .

Amazing food. Wife I had stew chicken which was great and I binged my entire large portion of curry goat. So good I couldn't stop eating. Highly recommend.

My coworker and I got lunch at your new location today for the first time. I knew the moment I walked in that your restaurant is authentic and is serious about delivering genuinely amazing Jamaican dishes. I got the curry goat dish and my coworker had the jerk chicken. I was so blown away by how delicious your food is that a few hours later I had to make an order for takeout for dinner. I ordered the steamed fish in curry and coconut milk. It was absolutely incredible. Thank you for bringing such a gift to this town. I’m only in Bennington a couple days every other week but visiting your establishment during each one of those visits is going to be a priority of mine. 10/10.
