Fantastic place, good food, good atmosphere, great people...Too bad they are closing after years of serving Bennington Vermont. But thanks Jensen family.

Jensen's is a consistently enjoyable experience. I'd say they always provide a meal like Mom used to make, but Mom never cooked as well as they do it at Jensen's?.The staff is always attentive, though never annoying. The fried chicken and fish are consistently a pleasure experience.

Such a great place. Try to go here every time I'm in the Shires. Great food at amazing prices and absolutely the nicest staff anywhere. What else can you say?

Jensen's seems to be a local favorite, but right away we noticed the lack of staff and the full crowd. We were lucky to have walked in another entrance and the 2 of us were seated right away. They have a decent menu and we wanted to this to be good, since we try to avoid chain restaurants when we are travelling. Well, the prices were very reasonable, but my 1/2 lb bacon cheese hamburger was just OK, as was my wife's Waldorf salad. The iced tea was very strong, and I had to dilute it. The property is rather generic but has been around since 1961. If we were to ever come back, we would go the breakfast route. Our waitress really hustled and when I asked about staffing, she smiled and said what most of us think, "no one wants to work" when this administration in Washington gives people money not to work.

Absolutely the best breakfast ever. My husband and I ordered a malted Belgian waffle with real Vermont Maple Syrup, country fried steak with sausage gravy, eggs, deep fried potatoes and toast, the biscuits and gravy with sausage gravy, eggs and deep fried potatoes. Milk, OJ and coffee. It was fresh, what was supposed to be hot was hot and what was supposed to be cold was cold. Service was prompt, although the place was packed. The servers were friendly yet extremely busy. We will return when visiting Vermont.

Easy parking at 7pm on a Thursday. It was not too busy. We were seated and beverages were served quickly. I ordered the fried seafood platter which was plentiful and tasty. I was disappointed the kitchen ran out of coleslaw. But, they close at 8pm so I can't complain too much.My companion ordered fried chicken. It was very juicy and cooked to perfection.Over all a great meal for a reasonable cost.

Had breakfast, lunch and dinner on different days. The menu is a good variety of simple fare. The French toast with "real syrup" was a pleasant surprise. Their BLT with light mayo was excellent for lunch. The fried chicken wrap was an outstanding dinner. The portions were just right. Their service at all three meals on different days was quick, courteous, and very friendly. One staff member noted that I left my car window open and that it was supposed to rain soon. Great place to eat in Bennington!

People seem to like Jensen's. We decided to eat lunch there. I had the Waldorf Salad. My husband had a burger. We enjoyed our food. Wish the wait staff was more attentive. She didn't check on us at all. Another waitress saw that my husband could use a refill on his soda. We appreciated that. Our waitress never checked on how we were doing at all. She didn't even say a word as she dropped the check off at our table. Not likely to stop back.

We stopped here quick from a recommendation of a local while in town. The menu is decent and the food was delivered to our table quickly. The population was older folks in the restaurant and a calm atmosphere.

They have great fried chicken!! Service is pleasant, selection is good, and not a very long wait on a busy Sunday.
