During a recent visit to Philly's for lunch with my wife and mother, I experienced their rendition of the iconic Philly cheesesteak. Having a personal connection to the region, as my father grew up just outside Philadelphia, I hold high standards for authenticity. Philly's does deliver a commendable and authentic flavor that closely mirrors the street offerings of Philadelphia. Despite the culinary delight, the portions and pricing are areas of concern. While I recognize the prevailing economic conditions have driven prices upwards, the current cost for a meal of this size at either lunch or dinner is not justifiable for my family.
If you are driving through Vermont stop by this cool place. Delicious.
