***Update*** 7/20/2025 Gayle is wonderful. She’s has been here for sometime and loves what she does. Thanks for a great experience! This is why we keep coming back!
WOW! Never knew this place was here. It is so big inside and love how the seating is arranged. It did not feel cramped or crowded at all. The food was very fresh and delicious. The server was delightful and courteous! Thank You!
Thanks to Chris Shea from Greenwood Lodge & Campsites, in Woodford, for taking us there to experience a GREAT breakfast!

Wow! I am currently hiking the AT, and these are by far the best pancakes I have ever had. Great, clean place, and you can tell everyone on the staff cares about the service they provide. Eat here if you are hungry; I highly recommend it. Thank you for a great breakfast!

I door dashed The Angry Egg for the first time today - because Dunkin Donuts wasn’t taking door dash orders today. And I am soooo glad I did. I ordered the French toast which was stuffed with mascarpone cheese, strawberries, blackberries and blueberries, it also comes with sausage links but they substituted bacon at my request. That was the best French Toast ever. They also have a plain French toast if you prefer.
The potato pancake was nothing short of perfection. I wish I had ordered more.
I tried the fried plantains as I’m big on Plantains. I expected them to be pan seared but that was MY mistake. The menu clearly says fried. I didn’t enjoy them as much but again, that was my mistake.
This place had definitely made it to the top of my breakfast food list - I’m hoping to try in person this week. I’ll update my review with photos when I do.

Restaurantji Recommends
Let me preface this by saying I am a lover of all things brekky.
We ordered the small stack with berries, Western Omelette, and a side order of home fries.
We finished our food like absolute animals and wished we had ordered more. This place is EXCELLENT. I cannot recommend it enough. We will be coming back!

We love Angry Egg Two!
We live a few blocks away and come in every Sunday for breakfast as a treat! My 2 top favorite dishes are eggs Benny and the waffle sammich with the flavored coffee.
I believe the only other place in Bennington that serves eggs Benny is Papa Pete's down the road, but out of the 2, I definitely prefer AE2's version. The hollandaise is perfect, and the homefries are nicely seasoned and crispy.
The waitresses are prompt and friendly, and the food is good quality, generously portioned, and affordable. What more can you want for a casual, locally-owned diner experience?
They often have free and talented live music playing on Sundays at 11, so plan according to your preference and / or hearing ability/disability.
After breakfast, you can walk up and down the street and check out the other great local shops. It's a perfect Sunday if you ask me!

It's an unignorable signal that when two other nearby breakfast places in town are packed with 25 minute waits...Angry Egg 2 is almost empty.
The reality is that this place straight up sucks. The food is not good and very overpriced. The cafe itself is uncomfortable and dirty. The music is loud, distracting, and what you'd expect to be playing at a grocery store at 2 am. The service is slow, forgetful, and bad. It is a depressing place.
Very much recommend going home hungry rather than eating here.
