In downtown Bennington, there’s only really one reliable spot for good coffee in my opinion and that’s The Coffee Bar. The interior is clean with plenty of space and bathrooms, and their lattes are great and it’s even next to a bookstore. However, in my opinion their pastries are a bit lacking and often seem stale. They do have dog treats you can buy which is nice.

The let dogs inside unleashed. Not well behaved service dogs but lose, straight the leash at other patrons. Dept of Health has been informed.

If you're a local, you may like this coffee shop. We were respectful, hopeful tourists looking forward to a nice Bennington experience and good coffee. The barista was rude to my family, acted as though we were a burden, and messed up our drinks. When it was brought to her attention, she basically said deal with it. It was a terrible experience. Do not waste your time or money here.

If I could leave a 0 star review I would…..This was my second attempt to get a decent cappuccino in town from this place, and let me tell you. If you like hotdog water with a splash of oat milk and a diva barista you’ll probably love this place. Also, no key for the bathroom. And Don’t miss the “let the stress begin sign” on your way out. Bad juju all around.

Ordered two hot chocolates, one pastry, a cookie, and a few mini dog cookies. The hot chocolates were barely warm, not hot at all. We waited for the pastry to come for 15 or so minutes before we finally asked and they apologized saying they forgot. Mistakes happen so that’s ok, but the pastry itself tasted stale as well as the cookie. Overall not impressed, especially that the few items came to a total of 27 bucks (33 with tip) and the pastry, cookie, and hot chocolate all were subpar. Too expensive for the quality. Staff was very friendly though.

truly the longest time i have ever waited for takeout coffee. about 45 minutes for 2 drinks. 2 people behind the counter but only one of them making coffee… i guess the other one is there for the vibes.

We visited for a couple coffees on Saturday afternoon. We waited 45+ minutes for a latte and 2 chai's with no warning. I won't be back.

It was somewhat crowded for a Monday at 10am, which speaks to the quality of the place. Many, but not all, of the tables were filled and there was ample comfy seating around. The decor was nice and despite the number of customers it was not loud. Will be back again!

My favorite coffee shop in Bennington. During my annual fall color trip, I make a point to stop in. The offer a large selection of caffeinated beverages both hot and cold. They also offer a nice selection of baked goods. The atmosphere inside is spacious and inviting.

The kind and skilled baristas here are wonderful! Delicious coffee and a friendly atmosphere make this the perfect place to study arcane texts in my ongoing battle against the angry undead. They are literally helping save the world! :)
