I have lived in the area for 52 years and have been going to The Publyk House for as long as I can remember. The food is good- nothing exceptional. It is nice to have the extensive salad bar. I do find the pricing to be very high for the area. $16 for a glass of red wine is a bit overpriced. I had the blackened salmon. It was tasty but portions are small. I don't think it is worth $32.50. Unfortunately, there are not many choices for dining in Southern Vermont, so I am sure that I will go back.

The best bread and maple butter I've ever had. The salad bar is also top notch. In comparison the entrees were a bit underwhelming, though not bad.

The food was alright and the portions were good, but some dishes lacked flavor and overcooked. The service was friendly, though things were a bit slow. It was an okay experience, just not great

Staying in a local motel while traveling in the area i ordered the baked cod to go. It was dried out, tasteless and less than a quarter inch thick and overly breaded. Horrible waste of $30 + with the tip.

Great experience. I had the NY Strip with baked potato, tasty veggies, and, of course, the salad bar! Staff was friendly and I can't wait to return.

We made 5 pm reservations. They sat us in the tavern next to a giant TV that gave my daughter a headache. The music in the tavern was so loud I couldn't hear the person across the table. The check came out to $150, which had I been in the dining area where it was much quieter would be fine, however I was in a bar atmosphere. We have been there many times. I hope it gets better.
