Very friendly staff from the moment we sat outside with our dog. The food was excellent and prices are reasonable. We will definitely eat here again.

Go for lunch which they do really well.
Sadly, we went for a very special anniversary dinner. There were six of us and disappointingly the meal took an hour and forty minutes to arrive and then was in all stages of overcooked, undercooked and inedible. Other tables around us were experiencing the same and really upset. We sat at the table closest to the kitchen and could tell everyone was working hard at their stations so we couldn’t really figure out what was going on. The restaurant was 1/2 full inside as well as outside so perhaps they had overbooked their skills. Really disappointing for how good I know it has been and could be.

Had reservation for 3 at 6pm on August 15, 2025. My two companions arrived 15 minutes early are seated given menus, water, and name of waitress. I arrive at 6:03. My companions had not yet been asked if they would like drinks nor had the waitress come by. We were one of five tables at the time, there appeared to be a hostess and 5+ waitresses. No waitress showed up after my arrival. After 20 minutes of trying to make eye contact with any member of staff, which was met with staff looking at me then immediately looking away and refusing to acknowledge our table all while chatting with each other and occasionally bringing a drink or utensil to one of the other seated tables, we knew we were being actively ignored. We left at 6:23. My companions had been sitting and actively ignored for more than 35 minutes! DO NOT EAT HERE, DISRESPECTFUL STAFF, TERRIBLE INSULTING SERVICE.

Had a 6 PM res.on a Friday evening, arrived 10 minutes early, we were waiting for our other party member. Hostess seated us right off, brought water and menus, told us our server would be Brooke. Tried in vain to catch a servers attention so we could have a wine while waiting for our 3rd party member. He arrived and joined us. We tried again, in vain, to catch a servers eye since Brooke was a no show. I watched the waitstaff (5 people) visiting with other patrons (trolling for tips?) and joking among themselves. At this time there were nine other tables occupied and all had been served or were in the process though things seemed to be slow. Servers would walk by us avoiding eye contact. After 35 minutes we left likely never to return.

We had a fabulous meal on a Wednesday afternoon cooked by Chef Robert. The Salmon was cooked to perfection, served on delicious creamy polenta. We enjoyed everything from our Ceasar and Mesclun salads and the mussels. We look forward returning in the future.

Seems things are slipping. Went a few weeks ago and good for lunch. Now 2 dinners down and declining. Tonight had the Cavatelli with shrimp 3 shrimp for 12$ seemed high and Cavtelli w chicken was meh and small as well. Seems high price for what you get and service w a smile would be nice. I’d recommend skipping

Second time my wife is done eating and I still haven’t gotten my food. Don’t know what’s up with this place. This is the second time Won’t be a third
Was very disappointed in the streak special. It was requested to be medium and delivered rare. Also the potato’s were drowned in gravy and there were only a few green beans that got lost in the gravy soup. Charged 4 dollars for 4 small dinner rolls. Overall did not live up to reviews.
Lunch on a trip to Burlington ~ friends suggestion. only positive thing was the wine choice. Server: aloof & Food: mediocre at best. Would not recommend
Simply the best dinner that I have had up in Vermont!

We came across this wonderful restaurant on our way to Middlebury. So glad we found it! Our lunches were delicious (seafood stew and a salmon dish with polenta) and reasonably priced. The service was very good too. We definitely will plan to be back.
