Nice change of pace from Brattelboros upscale food trend. Great food and regular prices!

Went with a group of 8 around lunch time. We called ahead to ask if 8 was ok. The lady on the phone said yes, but we’d have to sit at 2 tables, which we were all fine with. When we got there, we told the waitress at the front that there were 8 of us. She scoffed and rolled her eyes at us. The entire time we were there, she was giving us an attitude which none of us could understand. We were all very respectful, making sure to say please and thank you. I have always felt that no matter how bad a waiter is, to always tip them well since they may just be having a rough day. But this woman was so rude to us, very condescending tone, throwing our food down on the table and showing how irritated/annoyed she was on her face. So much eye rolling. Not to mention the food was not the best. The pumpkin french toast was just regular French toast with a little bit of pumpkin-flavored sauce on top, but not nearly enough. The poutine was not poutine. The mozzarella sticks were just “sticks”- they were all completely hollow. My sandwich made me sick a few bites in. There were also random little black specks floating around in my water. They also charge you a couple extra bucks if you ask for a to-go box, and there were quite a few spelling errors on the menu, which honestly didn’t bother me. It was just very entertaining to read through it. Also, 1/2 of the group got our food a full 20 minutes before the others, and at no point did our waitress come out to let us know or apologize for a delay. She straight-up ignored our group the whole time. I’m hoping this was just one bad experience, as the place was cute, the prices were good, and the other workers seemed very nice.

Ok so we are not from brat and found this restaurant via Google maps. First thing is that the place is not clean at all. Second the wait staff was very flat and did not like to interact with us. Finally the food was a 2 out of 5. The poached eggs were completely cooked through, the hash browns were from Walmart, the biscuits and gravy were over cooked and not home made. Maybe if you are from around here this is it for you and this may be a higher review.

Food looked good in pictures but taste was not up to par. I got the traditional benedict & the hollandaise sauce had a very strong chicken noodle soup flavor (very non traditional in my opinion) a glass of milk had brown/black specs in it. Overall cleanliness of the diner was horrible. Flies & cobwebs everywhere, & it smelt like a nursing home. 10/10 DONT RECOMMEND. Extremely over priced for cheap quality food.

Fantastic waiter! Food was solid, and the restaurant could use some updates, but I'm very happy to see that they survived the pandemic as many small restaurants haven't.

This place has a lot going for it. Nice down-home diner feel and good food.

However, the service we received from our waitress wasn't great. I ordered a cup of oatmeal with brown sugar on the side. I ordered the sugar on the side because, for health reasons, I have to limit my sugar intake. When the oatmeal arrived, I politely reminded our waitress that I'd asked for the brown sugar on the side. She responded "meh" (or similar) and walked away. She made no effort to make things right. Not wanting to create any friction, I didn't press the issue.

Our waitress didn't check on us once. When we wanted the check, we had to try repeatedly to get her attention. When she finally brought the check (with the oatmeal included), she did not acknowledge my uneaten oatmeal or even thank us.

Overall, this place was fine. I'd probably return. And perhaps our waitress was just having a bad day. But this first visit was not the best experience, service-wise.

Service was OK, nice but not knowledgable. The toast was burnt, and the egg whites were rubbery. The coffee price is over 3.25 a piece.

My husband really enjoyed his veggie omelette and he is picky. I had biscuits and gravy with poached eggs on top. Happy belly!

Vegetarian options: Not sure about vegan but definitely vegetarian.
