Sadly the building burnt and the brewer died in the fire. Business isn't temporary closed but closed permanently.

I loved this place, as did many other people! Sadly, the place burned down, and the owner died in the fire, so it won't be reopening. He was a good man! May he rest in peace!

The favored watering hole for weird and elderly folk. Dim lighting. Interesting conversations. Best place in town if you're too strange for the fancy bars but hate the lights and noise of Arkham. Definitely recommend.

This place rocks ! Such cool decor and interesting collection of locals. Books to read, games on a table, home made tamales, cool brews. Sunday was a northern roots celtic music session and the place was full and rockin'. Monday night they were spinning some old disco and soul tunes, smaller crowd, roomy and beautiful. Last night there were a variety of ages at the bar, and a small crowd of milllenials came in and had a little birthday party for a friend Authentic, unpretentious cool, with lots of ambiance.

I don't think it's been cleaned since my first visit in 1997. Their beers are okay. Parking in the garage nearby is unsettling with the bums watching you leave your car. If you're visiting,- buy a 6-pack from the grocery store and go back to your hotel.

My family and I stopped in to grab dinner. While we did not have dinner, we had a very nice time! We ended up with some snacks and a beer. My two sons were welcomed by the bartender and we enjoyed our time there very much. (2 boys-6 and 5) Relaxed atmosphere and a good variety of beer choices. Would definitely stop in and visit!

Don’t get me wrong but, I didn’t expect Mexican music and menu at a place called McNeills. It smelled funny, and looked like the food prep area was right next to the bar. We just wanted to try a local brewery.
