Music in the cafes at night and revolution in the air! Berets! Mocha Joe's feels and smells like the real coffee shop deal, without the cigarette smoke! What brews! What a brew crew! Pyre and Emma are usually the two when I pop in. Good times! Cool cats!

Cute little coffee shop in downtown Brattleboro. Very friendly staff. We tried a double mocha and double maple latte. Both were very good, though the mocha was a little bitter. Bummed the grinder was down so I couldn't get some coffee for Christmas gifts.

I characterize myself as The World's Fussiest Espresso Drinker. I went into Mocha Joe's yesterday, on my way from my best friend's near Albany NY to my home outside Boston. I've had a lot of trouble recently finding decent espresso other than from my home machine. As I entered Mocha Joe's, I didn't realize I was about to hit the jackpot! When I took my first sip of the half espresso, half hot milk (I forget what they called it, but that's how I asked for it), it was like a symphony going off in my mouth. And the symphony played grandly for the whole half hour or so that I took to drink it. The patrons were very nice to my little border collie, and the staff were fine with her being in their coffee house as long as she didn't go behind the bar, which she did once, early on. In fact, the staff all seemed like very nice people, as did the patrons. The coffee house itself looked like the nicest place to sit for an extended period of any of the coffee houses I've been inside in the last few years--about 5-6 of them, mostly in Cambridge. I vouch for everything Thomas L. says in his review. If I lived in Brattleboro, I'd be in here every day.

Coffee shop as a coffee shop should be: unpretentious, genial staff, well managed, robust coffees. The place was packed, which is a good sign.

Perfect cup of joe! My barista had excellent drink craftsmanship, they were very friendly and quick to make my latte. Seems like a great place to sit, read a good book, and enjoy a lovely coffee. Love Brattleboro and Mocha Joe’s!Vegetarian options: Milk alternatives available.Parking: Parking on the street and there are a few lots very near that are 40-75 cents an hour after 9am.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space for children.

Every time I visit a coffee shop I get a dirty chai in hopes that it will be Mocha Joes level of awesome. Most places use premade Oregon brand chai that I really don’t like, but this place has really high quality ingredients and it’s always exactly what I’m looking for. Iced maple dirty chai, trust me.

Very nice. I was just avoiding the junkies outside while my girlfriend got a delicious iced maple latte.

Best coffee in town, with a small selection of baked goods. Inside is a quiet and a bit dark.
