A fun place to visit. Recently purchased a bottle of their ghost pepper whisky for a birthday gift. Nine of us toasted with it. It was smooth and had just the right amount of a pepper tingle. I highly recommend it. Big fan of the Perc, and Maple Sapling too. Be sure to get a pretzel too-delicious.

We had an amazing experience at Saxtons Distillery! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the representative was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly—truly made our visit special. One of the highlights was meeting their adorable cat, which added such a fun and cozy touch to the whole experience. We also received a complimentary shot glass as a freebie, which was a lovely surprise.

The Perc Barrel Aged Coffee Liquor is worth the stop alone. It makes a great espresso martini. Other spirits we have tried over the years were good and drinks we've had were tasty.

Wonderful distillery in Brattleboro. Super nice lady behind the bar. Extremely reasonable price for the tasting. Lovely and creative cocktails 🍸 with ingredients locally sourced. Highly recommend stopping if you're nearby!

We visited on November 8th. I was so excited and was not disappointed! We were actually staying the night across the street so we walked over from our hotel to the large tasting room.
I have been a fan of Sapling's Maple Liquor for a long time - I remember stopping at the place on the river and even then I had been a fan for long time. I love anything maple and Sapling's products are amazing.
We had an amazing experience sitting at the bar and chatting with the mixologist. I use that term as our drinks were amazing and perfectly balanced but we also got a great education on the Saxton's products that were in the drinks and even some of the other ingredients like the VT made vermouth. We had the High Rise Manhattan made with their Maple Rye and the Espresso Martini made with their Perc coffee liquor. Both were amazing! We enjoyed our visit and our tastings as well. The honey bourbon was also very tasty. I will be looking for that to buy next. As it was I also walked out of there with a bottle of the Sapling Maple Liquor and the Sapling Maple Rye to add the bottle of Double Barrel Maple Bourbon already on my bar cart. I also stopped at the tasting room in downtown Brattleboro for the VT based vermouth.

We happened on Saxtons Distillery (Brattleboro location) by accident. We had never tried their liqueurs and spirts and decided to do a tasting. So glad we did! The location was convenient. The storefront was small but cozy and inviting. My husband and I each tried our chosen samples and were not disappointed. The person working was efficient and patient with us as we asked about the different selections. We intended to just do the tasting, but ended up leaving with 2 bottles for us (Sapling Maple Liqueur and Perc) and one as a gift (Sapling Maple Bourbon). Looking forward to going back again!
A local distillery focusing on maple liquors. We visited the distillery, not the tasting room in downtown Brattleboro. The space is large. Outside is an event space (not in use this day since it was raining). Inside is set up more for bar drinks than for tastings. The barkeeper was really just that, and not engaging for tastings and any background on the distillery. If maple is your thing, these product may very well be it.

Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, and unbelievable spirits! I have never had a maple rye like they have. I find myself more of a cider type of person, and some craft beers, but always found whiskey, bourbon, and other things like that a bit much, until now.The staff is very helpful when you ask questions about each variation they have, and very knowledgeable. They ask you questions also to help you select the spirit that you'll enjoy the most.They have multiple different maple liquors (also non-maple) that I'm sure you'll find one you enjoy. Stop by and have a flight or two, to find the one that fits you best. I promise you'll be leaving with a bottle or two, plus a happy demeanor and a smile!?Also check out their second location in downtown Brattleboro, smaller, but all the same enjoyable spirits! Also nice to enjoy watching the small bustling streets."From our river, to your liver". Haha just great!(Disclaimer: my review is identical to their other location, as I find them both as enjoyable as the other.)

Was visiting from New Jersey, and walked into the place to the most amazing surprise of all, a beautiful cat to welcome you into the distillery. I loved that there was a bar with a lot of space both inside and outside. The drinks were superb and the Gin was my favorite, so extremely smooth and botanical. I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area!
