An unfortunate experience that will not be repeated. Heavily salted, inadequate portions. The $20 appetizer consisted of 6 store-bought water crackers, a tablespoon of mustard, half a plum, half an apple, and half a tiny pear alongside three 1-inch pickles. The entrees were so small I thought she was joking. After spending $200, we left and got dinner elsewhere because we were frankly still hungry. Gimmicky, overall lackluster.
I forgot to leave a review several years ago, when we went. I always recall having an amazing experience. The meal was worth remembering years later. I recommend T.J. Buckley's for anyone looking for a memorable dinner.
Wonderful personal restaurant, excellent food and service. Amazing crab cake, excellent halibut. Solid wine list. Lovely presentation.
Quaint
You get a beautifully prepared meal, with a very personal experience. The chef and sous-chef create art to eat. The Shirley temple is to die for.
DEVINE DINING. All caps, period.
Outstanding food, beautiful presentation and excellent service.
Hands down one of the best culinary experiences I have ever had.

I very rarely rate 5 stars: 4 is already a very good level. T.J. Buckley's is a charming little restaurant, a French-style table setting and a limited menu because the chef wants to master what he does.
The salad is already worth the detour: a real little sight for the eyes, fresh, varied and crunchy as can be. Then, that evening, poison or rabbit. Cooking the fish: the flesh is still supple, the taste is very present, the accompaniments creative, light and excellent without covering the taste of the fish. The rabbit is perfectly cooked and melts to the bite. The vegetables are superb and still barely crunchy: mastered.
Varied wine list, including by the glass. In our case, a perfect red Zinfandel.
Dessert: Crème brûlée, a classic that allows us to compare: the test is very successful!
The Michelin guide would say: Worth the detour!

Usually outstanding, a pleasure to enjoy a night of better than average food. Was a miss tonight on the wagu hanger steak. Not sure how but ordered med rare, was rare and tough and not seasoned. Should have melted in mouth but chewey and no flavor what so ever. The ice tea and simple syrup is very good. Overall, just ok.

When the chef dashed out of the kitchen to grab a few things from his garden, I knew this was going to be as good.
This is a wonderful place. Some of the best food I've eaten. Excellent staff. The crab cake is a cut above any I've ever had. The rabbit will linger in my memory.
A must go for any gourmand.
