Ate here a few years ago, pre-pandemic. Do not remember what we had but it was excellent and way more interesting than the usual tex/mex. Probably the best reason to stop in Brattleboro for food, although there are plenty of others!

Currently doing take out only, but I've been going here for several years thanks to a tip from a friend who is a chef. He told me it was a must go and he was correct. Now I always hope my Vermont road trips line up with a visit to her. Live about an hour and a half away and it would be worth the drive. Such a unique dining experience with healthy, flavorful options!

This little hole-in-the-wall (literally!) place is unbelievably good! We stumbled on it when looking for something to eat during a quick pitstop going back home to NH, and were completely blown away. It is now going to be our regular stop whenever possible. Best food I've had since Mexico--fresh, utterly delicious, completely real. And the Boca Negra? You see a lot of superlatives in food blogs and reviews, but this is truly amazing, and deserves every superlative you could throw at it. Best dessert I've ever had from a restaurant, no contest.

Over the years they've been in business they continue to produce fabulous authentic food. The chicken and pork mole specials are out of this world, the empanadas are reliably wonderful, a happy spicy mouth party every time! The Boca Negra molten chocolate dessert with a tiny hint of hot pepper is oral-gasmic!!

Delicious authentic food! We had a great experience, although the dining room wasn't open we ordered at the take out window and since we are vegetarians we had some questions, I believe she was the owner who took our order, was super nice and recommended different items that were vegetarian friendly! Definitely recommend the grilled tortillas and the cheese empanadas!

Three Stones had some of the best food in the Valley. Amazing tortillas especially. Just call and order early, when we got there at opening they were already out of a bunch of stuff

Worth every penny! Delicious Mayan food. The salad is something you will wish you could have more of. Don't let the looks from the outside deceive you - it's a quaint little restaurant with lots of character

If you are going here for take out, really your only option at this time, it is not worth $18.50 for the full plate. The rice is nothing special. And the beans have no flavor. They did not include the salad in our order, not sure why, maybe an oversight. We got the rest of our dishes, ala carte. And I was grateful I ordered ala carte and skipped getting the remaining 3 plates with plain beans and rice, with no salad.Essentially, you will be paying $8 or more for each plate for plain rice and plain beans. Like NO flavor. And NOT much of it! That said, the empanada (pork/chicken), 3 different tortilla (Tortillas / Uah : We make fresh tortillas daily out of corn masa in three distinct styles; Uah is a tortilla cooked on a griddle, a salbute is deep fried and a panucho is stuffed with refried beans and pan fried), the tamale, and the onzicil were great! I just think itʻs really pricey for plain rice and beans on the ʻplates.ʻ Plus, it sounds like A LOT - especially when you read the description of the tortilla options, but it is not much food. 3 mini ʻtacosʻ with just a couple of pieces of whatever meat option you choose. We chose the chicken and pork.Do yourself a favor and order the dishes ala carte. Do not order the $18.50 plates! Save yourself the money! If we had the other 3 dishes with the plain rice and plain beans, weʻd spend $24 more dollars on what I could make at home for pennies. Itʻs nuts.I just canʻt see the value in the plates. The value is the authentic Mexican Mayan food items. So get all the choices ala carte. The dishes are best hot, so take out isnʻt the greatest option for food quality, but it reheated well in the microwave if you get home and itʻs cold. The people who work there are very nice! I wouldnʻt go out of my way to go here, but it is great food for the Brattleboro area.

Absolutely fabulous and very traditional southern Mexican cuisine. Prices are slightly higher than average but the food is totally worth it. Very friendly folks run this little take out gem.

This place serves the best Mayan food. It is tucked away in Vermont, and is an amazing place to dine for anyone who happens to be in pretty Brattleboro. I have dined here in person exactly twice and the experience has nothing but spectacular and very memorable. It is slightly pricey so me and my partner reserve it for special occasions. Another point to note is that we are vegetarian and we have never had dearth of options here. Personally, I love the tamales and the onzicil tortilla. The specials are really good, so do make sure to ask for them. In all, I am looking forward to dining in person when they open back up.

Really excellent Mexican/Mayan food. I got the tamales, partner got the empanadas, and we split the Boca chocolate cake. That cake? Omg. Soooo good! The entrees were a decent size, a really lovely, light salad came with both, and rice and beans, tons of vegetables on top of the food, smelled like heaven and tasted as good as it smelled. It was hard to ride home with that smell without pulling off and ripping open the bag. All filling, very tasty. The mild and medium salsas verde were a really nice touch. I'm from the South, and don't get anything like Mexican very often since moving to New England, so this was a real treat.

The food is pretty plain, the portions are small compared to the price, I was disappointed at the food size and portions when I finaly got my order, its below the average.I felt tricked honestly.
