Great brewery and cafe in Bristol. Had to try the pretzel knots with our beers, and we were not disappointed. Very friendly staff, great setting along the New Haven river. Family friendly restaurant.

I had a really terrible time. The food, beer, & especially the service were not good. What really upset me was that they had 3 dinner specials & I was only told about 2. The 3rd the chicken stew looked like something that I would really enjoy. After having seen it served to 2 other tables that were seated after me. Not sure why I wasn’t told & other folks were. What I had to eat tasted awful. The beers didn’t taste good to me either. As far as the service I felt like I was ignored most of the night. Rushed through not telling me about all of the specials then ignored me. It was my last night in the area & I was hoping for a good meal & beer. Unfortunately I didn’t get that here.

This place is so great! Awesome back patio with fun games, live music, and of course, great beers. Come for a flight, or a full pour! Highly recommend!

Beers are great. We were blown away by the food quality. Wonderful outdoor space. Friendliest of staff. What's not to love. Don't consider it, just get to it!

I just wanted to add this disclaimer to my review: My review seems to be an outlier compared to other reviews thus far. I may have just visited on an off-day. It was off-season for the area (between ski-season and hiking season). I feel crummy rating a small business negatively but I can't help it.The first notable negative point was unfortunately the service. There was a new bartender, she even said so to us (it was her first or second week). She was incredibly nice, friendly, and did her best. We could see her struggling as she attempted to do her best to assist us and others. We had zero issue with her, she's learning and it takes time to develop your skills. The problem was with the other staff member. There were only three tables occupied including us, and the other staff member was on her phone, holding someone's baby, and doing virtually anything but assisting the new staff member or customers. It felt almost like she had no guidance which could have been provided by the distracted staff member. It left a poor impression on us, as we waited almost 25 minutes after being handed the menu / tap list to be visited again. Maybe the other staff member had just seen her grandchild or friend's baby for the first time and it was a magical moment. If so I understand completely, but then to just be standing around staring at her phone while the new woman was struggling AFTER holding the child for several minutes...that was just not acceptable. This was the only place we visited that had such poor service. The second negative point was the food. Again, could have been an off day, but it wasn't very impressive for the price. The chips that came with it seemed to be from a bag and the buns for the sandwich we ordered didn't have a homemade quality to them, they seemed to be bought prior (can't confirm, I could have been wrong). I'm only listing these negative points due to the price ($15 + $4 for a side of potato salad). The chicken was pretty good though, I can't complain about that one bit. I also enjoyed the potato salad, it was great! The beer was also pretty good, I enjoyed what I tasted and I would rate it pretty decently. It wasn't perfect, but it was quite good. They also had a really diverse tap list which is appreciated. There were other options than just half a dozen IPAs.I really really wanted to enjoy the brewery, but the service really weighed down the score heavily. I don't ever expect to be instantly helped, but when there were three tables (including us) occupied and two bartenders, you would expect a little more attentiveness. To me that makes me nervous to return if they were actually busy. Once again, the new server though was really awesome. I hope that she stays there, with a couple more weeks under her belt I think that she can really help them improve on this aspect!
